Friday, February 27, 2009. This is how you'll know me. Yes is a world. Completely charming and sweet video by israeli artist oren lavie. the entire video shot in thousands of stills, we see a girl on a bed, swimming and walking and biking thru her day - my favorite moment is when the bed is converted into a train car, and when the cello floats across her sky, oh my how lovely. Thursday, February 26, 2009. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. It's a fool who plays it cool. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Yer my favo...

You Should Read: Microcosmic God by Theodore Sturgeon. June 23, 2010. You Should Read is a weekly Wednesday short where I suggest short stories and poems on the web to bide a little time on this dreadful–when will Friday come? 8211;24hrs in the middle of the week. After a friend practically begged me to read the 30pg novella that is Microcosmic God. By Theodore Sturgeon (go to the table of contents and click “Microcosmic God”), I finally acquiesced and decided to read the sucker. Enter your comment here.

Y.A. Has ‘Good’ Writing Too |
https://writingyourfeelings.wordpress.com/2010/06/14/y-a-has-good-writing-too
YA Has ‘Good’ Writing Too. June 14, 2010. There’s a huge dichotomy between ‘important’ fiction and ‘unimportant.’ I know this because I often see the book world divided by these sorry distinctions: Literary fiction is ‘important’ and well-written; YA is immediately unimportant, meant for lower earthlings or, shock, young adults. Sure there are exceptions. For most of my life, in fact, I’ve had Literary Fiction Superiority Complex (LFSC), and thought YA should eat my waste products. And in truth, I’...

The First Sentence Of The New Yorker’s “Top 20 Over 40”. June 4, 2010. A few days ago, The New Yorker announced it’s list of the top 20 writers under 40 years old to look out for. Now, I wasn’t familiar with a whole lot of people on that list, so, I decided I should get familiar with each of their most recent works. But really, how much time do you think I have, people? Enough time to read 20 stories/books? Help me choose what I should read next. The Thing Around Your Neck. 8220;It took them both a long ...

Here's a walk cycle pencil test I did of my character Kevan. This is one of my first. I just finished a project that I have been on and off with this past year. Ryan Manning. Had contacted me to make an animation for his poem Delirious. Here it is! It is all hand-drawn, scanned, and colored in Photoshop. As with my last post, all comments are welcome. I am trying to find some things in NY to keep me busier than I already am. I went to the Society of Illustrators. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Current Project: String Theory. Here’s a description of the novel I’m working on, STRING THEORY:. Enter Nat, Mr. Best-Cousin-In-The-World, who is immediately a science geek, big brother figure, and potential love of her life. Dependent on him for guidance (though she’d never admit it), Rose consults Nat when she finds her story book world is falling apart. But can he help her, or is he only another barrier to figuring out what the hell she should do? 3rd Draft, massive editing ensues. My hope? What IR...

Sarah badr pieces at random. Laquo; Wikipedia bound. 9 August, 2009. A few days ago, I was tagged by the lovely Raiha Buchanan. What follows below is a deviation from the usual — which I hope helps to shed a little light behind the anonymity that so easily surrounds us online. 1 I’ve moved house seventeen times. Place instead of a dozen, I certainly wouldn’t rule out moving again in the foreseeable future (and might already have a place in mind)…. Is not my forte. 4 I shaved my head when I was eighteen.
