the mallons: One week left!
http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008/11/one-week-left.html
Catch up with our news and adventures. Sunday, November 16, 2008. The skin reaction is now slightly worse, and I have some peeling and broken skin- but it is basically a bit like heat rash, quite prickly and itchy. I am controlling it well by slathering it in aqueous cream, and it is really not much of a problem compared to surgery and chemo! Only 5 sessions left- next week I am having 'booster' sessions. Not quite sure aboout the detail, except they will be much quicker and I even get a pillow!

34 Sunbury Avenue: My 20th Birthday
http://tell-you-that-for-free.blogspot.com/2007/11/my-20th-birthday.html
Documenting the crazy times in the house! Friday, 16 November 2007. We celebrated my birthday last night, starting with a party in the flat and then drinks in Osborne Road and then on in to town. Rachel visited from Middlesbrough and Laura and Vicky almost made it from all the way up the road! It was a good night, but needless to say we're all taking a little easy today. I had many nice presents, thanks guys, and a sexy new laptop from Mum and Dad! Looking forward to a family meal on sunday as well.

34 Sunbury Avenue: Christmas Ball
http://tell-you-that-for-free.blogspot.com/2007/12/christmas-ball.html
Documenting the crazy times in the house! Friday, 14 December 2007. Clare, Katie, Jess and I all attended the ArchSoc Christmas Ball last week, showing our support for the Archeology Society (of which Clare is Social Secretary and bullied us to go! It was at the Caledonian Hotel in Gosforth, and we had a dubious three course meal and a cheesy DJ. Good times! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). the mallons: Easy peasy now....
http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008/11/easy-peasy-now.html
Catch up with our news and adventures. Monday, November 17, 2008. Well, today was a much quicker procedure. Instead of lying on a frame and holding on to a post, I was on a mattress with a pillow! True luxury compared to the last 5 weeks. And, although I still needed to be aligned properly, there was only one burst of radiation as opposed to three (so basically it takes a third of the time and is much more comfy). And I have already done one- so there are only 4 left. Woohoo! Posted by nigel and sue.

the mallons: June 2008
http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Catch up with our news and adventures. Thursday, June 26, 2008. On Tuesday I had another very long wait for my consultation with the doctor- I was in the building for 4 hours and my appointment was about 10 minutes! However, I got chatting with quite a few other women and we had quite a raucous giggle- so much so that when I was eventually called through and complained about my wait time was told that I had been called a lot earlier (but obviously did not hear! Still, it was quite jolly! Tomorrow I go ba...

Catch up with our news and adventures. Sunday, May 25, 2008. G-CSF - douze points! The G-CSF seem to be working, in that I am feeling good! Interestingly I have developed tonsillitis again- this is the third time! BUT- I do not have a temperature, or feel anywhere near as bad as last time, which is fantastic. When we got home we realised it was the first time I had been out in 9 weeks! Posted by nigel and sue. Thursday, May 22, 2008. Posted by nigel and sue. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Catch up with our news and adventures. Friday, July 25, 2008. I am just about coming out of the first awful phase of the cycle, and had my last injection tonight- Hoorah! No more naughty Nigel stabbing me in the stomach with a sharp stick! My tongue is absolutely revolting and furry and my taste buds are really playing up this time, but I have only 2 weeks to go until I start feeling muuuuuch better. We are off to New Wine tomorrow, to sit in a caravan for a week in Newark, so hopefully will be nice 'chi...

the mallons: Good News
http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008/11/good-news.html
Catch up with our news and adventures. Monday, November 10, 2008. I am now into week five- only this week and next left. It has been a drag getting to hospital every day, but I am still not experiencing much more redness or pain than at the beginning. I saw the doctor today (every monday I have a review appointment) and they were delighted with my progress- apparently I could have been MUCH worse at this stage. Posted by nigel and sue. http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Catch up with our news and adventures. Sunday, April 27, 2008. 1 For fabulous friends and family who are supporting me with food, flowers, cards, prayers and phone calls- thanks guys. The food has been particularly appreciated- though Emily has been rolling her eyes at the amount of healthy cakes we have been given-sweet potato, carrot, and butternut squash so far! The world is upside down mummy-. Makes cakes out of. 6 For being able to wash my 'hair' in under 5 seconds! Having met many others down at We...
