10 legs on the run: August 2014
http://amberrunning.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
10 legs on the run. Race Calendar and PRs. Saturday, August 16, 2014. Last minute race decision. Week 4 of Chicago has had its challenges. I started off the week with bad head cold that knocked me on my ass for a few days. I felt it gaining strength last Saturday and by Sunday kaboom! Not sure if it was the wine, pinning a number on my shirt, sleep deprivation or mucous still plugging my brain cells, but I said "yeah, that sounds good". They are about as awake as the driver. Still my "little" brother.

10 legs on the run: Twister
http://amberrunning.blogspot.com/2015/06/twister.html
10 legs on the run. Race Calendar and PRs. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. In the next weeks I had 2 more 22miles with long tempos(13-14miles). In other words, marathon effort for at least a half marathon sandwiched in a long run. I squeezed these into some high mileage weeks, included a mountain race and had less than ideal work schedule between days/nights. The first of these went alright. I was the first really warm day and this NW girl was HOT! I figured it was great training in case Grandma's.

10 legs on the run. Race Calendar and PRs. Tuesday, February 17, 2015. A week of getting back to it. Warming up with Courtney. In other news I am officially registered for Grandma's Marathon in June. I am excited to run this course and be with others who are all shooting for the OT. I also was accepted in to the Saucony Hurricane Program! I am excited to be representing a company that is "loyal to the sport" and focuses on the runner. I can wear my all time favorite shoes in races again! Just like that a...

10 legs on the run. Race Calendar and PRs. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. You have never been there you should put on your list of places to visit. Lake Superior is like vast ocean with no end in sight. The air is fresh, without that hint of briny aroma us NWers are use to. Lucky shoe tag "believe" attached. At the start girls were chatting about the B std and the paces they planned to hit. I loved it! Everyone had the same mentality, lets work together to do this not compete. With rain beating in my face by mi...

http://amberrunning.blogspot.com/2015_09_01_archive.html
10 legs on the run. Race Calendar and PRs. Monday, September 21, 2015. It has been a Summer of changes when it comes to my training. After Grandma's I began working with a new coach, Garry Killgore. We have been learning more about each other in each passing week. In July, I had the opportunity to spend some time in McMinville with Garry along with my Saucony. Teammate, Marcy Gage. This girl is awesome! Here are few pictures from my Summer of training and fun. So many great sunsets this Summer.

10 legs on the run: My Teammates
http://amberrunning.blogspot.com/2015/04/my-teammates.html
10 legs on the run. Race Calendar and PRs. Thursday, April 9, 2015. Is a year old! Well this is how it has helped me. 10 ways having teammates has changed my running. We share training logs, have group strength sessions and workouts. There is no fudging about what you did or didn't do. By sharing online logs you can't cram in "extra" miles without your teammates calling you out. We are really good a shaming the guilty party for running too much. 2) Multiple training partners. 3)Ability to push yourself.

10 legs on the run: March 2015
http://amberrunning.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
10 legs on the run. Race Calendar and PRs. Tuesday, March 10, 2015. I have had another 2 weeks of solid training. It feels good to be working hard and pushing myself in workouts like I never have before. Even more than the energy I put into workouts, I have been putting just as much into recovery. Recovery is piece that varies between all of us. Specifically, what do you do when you are not running? Is your recovery active or do you sit? Are you getting enough sleep? What are you eating? F-9mi super sore...
