Pachelbel Prayer | Welcome

Across the kitchen counter:. Violins, violas, violincellos and basso continuo,. Sixty beats per minute. The heart is beating, beating,. Even as the volume rises and falls,. Even as the children fight in a far-off room,. As country invades country. And a bomber implodes in Baghdad,. Asking love what it will do now. The strings raise their bows. And bow to the left and to the right. Passing by a bowl of resilient oranges. Beneath a window where. Outside a tree is exploding in blossom fervor,.

I’m a writer as well as magician, musician and Unitarian Universalist minister-in-training. Raised in Central New York just outside Syracuse in the mostly-farm village of Baldwinsville, I grew up with four seasons, six siblings and myriad priests and nuns from whom I learned to follow Roman Catholicism devotedly. I thought I would grow up to be a priest myself and announced my intentions at the wise old age of eight. From clean dishes to clean copy. Love yourself more than you do. First Parish of Sudbury.

Rainy Morning Prayer | Welcome
http://robkinslow.com/rainy-morning-prayer
What is this thing called rain? If there were no such a thing as water. Could you or I even imagine it? So it is with God. We call it water. We call it rain. We believe we know it: didn’t we give it names? And can’t we explain it? We say it is made of atoms. With hydrogen and oxygen molecules. At one point it freezes. At one point it boils. Don’t tell me what you call it. Don’t tell me what it does. I want to know what water is. I want to know if water has a mind,. Or: maybe I don’t. When I was a boy.

This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:. I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my blog. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.). 8230;or something like this:.

Playmate of the Year. Playmate of the Year We began quietly, communicating non-verbally a glance, a nod, a knowing smile but over time words came and the relationship grew into something more. Tuesday Morning Prayer | Welcome

Named for Tyr, god of single combat, you. Greet me as I rise with ache of bone and. Twitch of skin, my time untethered. For the moment from meetings and deadlines. A titanium ball and polyform cup. Made by a company with. More money than Delaware. To my acetabulum, while. The bark of a willow tree. Ground into powder,. Reshaped into a button. With more money than Africa,. Is blocking my nerve endings. From screaming to my brain, saying. There is pain happening here. Don’t you want to know?
