Thursday, July 31, 2008. Ten of us chartered a van for our road trip to Monte Verde. Roads aren't good in Costa Rica and short trips can take a long time. Especially when there's an accident! Monday, July 28, 2008. Take a drive through the countryside. Es Bonita - Kirei desu! Though my Spanish isn't great, I'm learning as I go. This is a view of the Pacific Ocean. What a beautiful country in which to go for a drive! And sometimes you have to get out and take a picture. A Guanecaste tree - Bonita! What a huge tree! Brahma cow - they come from India. I love the floppy ears! Like I said, sometimes you have to get out. and climb a waterfall! Photo op, Jess! Questionable roads. yes, we made it!

We have excellent friends! Dan and Carrie are a couple from Ben's law class. Here we are at the law school ball. having a ball! Max - also a law buddy. Mike and Laura - Laura is Ben's cousin and we are lucky to have them in Denver! And the Denver Rockies! We know how you love baseball, Japan! We love the mountains!

Ben is out of town this week for work and I always struggle towards the end of his trips because I am burned out, I am tired, I am lonely and all of my patience has gone by the wayside.
