Clemson and Nebraska kickoff at 1pm today. I’ve been looking forward to this rematch of the 1981 Orange Bowl for weeks now. Clemson won that game 22-15 for the National Championship. We had an amazing turnout over our 3 locations (Anderson, Greenville and Florence). There were 14,308 people that attended church at NewSpring last week and a total of 219 people accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Amazing! Matt Bailey’s Blog. Posted August 5, 2008. It’s probably safe to say that the title of this post conjures up some strong emotions in a lot of people. This very issue was tackled at our services this past Sunday. Here are a few highlights from the sermon:. We must own our faith and know where we stand on the issue of whether it’s OK for a Christian to drink alcohol. The Bible says that alcohol in moderation is OK, but getting drunk is a sin. Buying alcohol for people underage is a sin. 4 comments so far.

Friday, July 20, 2007. The Secret of Sarsaparilla City. Our version of Vacation Bible School is called Summer Blockbuster. This year the theme is The Secret of Sarsaparilla City and it lasts all week. We have small groups that meet from 630-800pm and then at 800pm all the kids pile into the auditorium for an on stage performance. We had over 1000 kids the first night! And this is what it looks like to have a waterfall in your atrium! And this is what Cameron got to do one night in his class.

Monday, July 16, 2007. We went to the zoo on Friday. Cam had fun looking at all the animals, but he didn't like the snakes and lizards so much. It was a little dark in the building where the snakes were and there were lots of kids screaming so I think those were the reasons for him being so afraid. We are having Summer Blockbuster (our version of VBS) at our church this week and it is going to be awesome. We currently have a waterfall in our atrium as part of the set for this week! Man, it's gone by fast.
