Tuesday, June 22, 2004. Well it looks like my imminent incarceration in the convent. Is causing much hilarity among my dear friends. Not least because I can't work out how to watch England v Portugal on Thursday night in silence. The ordination service is giving Henry (the vicar) all sorts of headaches as St.B's don't generally go in for responses in liturgy and there are going to be loads. I look forward to telling you how my time away was. Posted by Simon at 8:40 PM. Wednesday, June 16, 2004. On the wa...

Tuesday, April 27, 2004. On Sunday Arsenal (click if you're brave enough). Clinched the premiership having gone unbeaten all season, the Manchester Utd fans have gone very quiet. Life at the moment is a bit of a whirl wind generally lots of good things going on but lots is the operative word. My quest to start a Poker night is gaining momentum as the manager of the Autumn House. At the moment, but I still don't understand the game.). Met up with Jason Clark. Posted by Simon at 8:19 PM. Wednesday, January 28, 2004. Well only a week since the last post, can't be bad. Life's been a bit crazy lately with a major kitchen refit going on at home. When I've had time to think I've kept coming back to some of those things that I heard and thought while at the New Wine Em Gen conference and back home at Holy Space. Our task is to be so deeply and intimately connected with Christ that the world will experience the resurrected Christ the newness God intends whenever it touches our corporate life.

Thursday, July 22, 2004. The Holidays have Started. The boys have broken up and last night we had a rite of passage. We went out for their first curry just me and them (Sue doesn't do curry and was at the staff end of term party anyway). So a chicken tikka marsala, chicken kurma and lamb balti later their first lads curry night had been achieved. It was a great start to the holidays. It's been a strange week it feels a bit like the calm before the storm with Soul in the City. I think I got away with it.

Tuesday, September 28, 2004. 1 Birthday,2 Funerals and lots of school visits. Starts next week and we've got 6 trainees coming at the moment. 3 UK and 3 Swedes with possibly a 4th Swede on the way as well. It's an interesting time from a training point of view as following the The Shaping Of Things to Come Conference. I'm really looking forward to a New Wine 24 hour younger leaders forum that I'm helping to facilitate Thursday through Friday at Nettle Hill. Posted by Simon at 8:31 PM. At the same time I'...

Monday, May 31, 2004. A bit of calm before the storm. Probably won't blog much in the next couple of days (not that I blog daily or anything anyway.) I'm having a few days R&R and will probably be banned from the computer; although if today was anything to go by the R&R will include lots of trips to the tip (a new bank holiday past time judging by the queues) and more gardening. I got a chiminea. Posted by Simon at 8:39 PM. Thursday, May 27, 2004. Time to tell a story. Let's go story tell. Saturday night...

Sunday, October 31, 2004. Newbiggin and Bosch Prophets for our times. I've enjoyed reading Richard Lyall. Recent posts about the emerging church and emerging leadership. (Thanks Richard Johnson. For the tip offs. What's with everyone being called Richard now days? The problem for many missionaries in history was that they limited the gospel to theological and moral concerns, and those concerns were expressed through their own cultural understanding of the gospel and of the people to whom they ministered.

Monday, August 30, 2004. Posted by Simon at 7:40 PM. Posted by Simon at 7:38 PM. Their stories following two weeks of mission in London and two weeks of conference in a cow shed in Somerset, just got me thinking more about evangelism, raising up younger leaders and loving Jesus. A couple of photos of the holiday should have appeared to just give you a sense. Posted by Simon at 7:35 PM. Monday, August 16, 2004. How else do you get commissioned these days?
