Thursday, March 11, 2010. Santiago - Feb 25, 2010. Sheri and Curtis arrived at Mendoza for one last time. Waiting and waiting on the bus to drive into a big building. Finally the driver got us off the bus and we walked into the big building. We stood in one line then in another then wandered around and found the folks from our bus standing in a room. They searched our luggage then loaded it back on to the bus. They did a head count and we were. It was a very windy road. Is old and peaked out about a hund...

Bend to New York 2013: World Trade Center
http://bendtonewyork2013.blogspot.com/2013/09/world-trade-center.html
Bend to New York 2013. Saturday, September 21, 2013. I stayed at the Millenium Hotel. In lower Manhattan. The hotel is located immediately west of the World Trade Center site. My room had an excellent view looking across and down into the site which spurred my curiosity. The site has been in a constant state of recovery and reconstruction since 2001 . World Trade Center Tower 2 struck at 9:03 am September 11, 2001. Millenium Hotel is the black building on the left. And there are two memorial fountains.

Bend To Turkey 2010: October 2010

Bend To Turkey 2010. Thursday, October 21, 2010. Hostel Mostel common room. They’re new to capitalism. Mosaic above a door at Alexander Nevsky. Curtis took an old electric bus that smelled like butt cheese to the edge of town to the National History Museum. They got some old stuff there, like 6000 years old. Strangely the exhibits end at 1946. There is nothing from after that date (that’s when the communists took over). The place was empty and frigid (15 degrees C, 59 F). Horse cart in Koprivshtista.
