The Beneficial Bee: The Unbelievable Life of Shelby the Tortoise
http://thebeneficialbee.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-unbelievable-life-story-of-shelby.html
Sunday, September 16, 2012. The Unbelievable Life of Shelby the Tortoise. A couple of weeks after Shelby moved in, my mom left the chicken coop door open to get something from inside. She came back to find Shelby gone. We looked everywhere and were devastated to think Shelby would starve alone in the wilderness or get eaten by a raccoon. One month later we got a call from the Fire Department across the street. They found a tortoise wandering around the station. Shelby was thin, but he was alive! Santa Ma...

The Beneficial Bee: May 2012
http://thebeneficialbee.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 8, 2012. We have good news and not-so-great news to report. I'll start with the good news. The girls even have a couple of boyfriends. This is our Frizzle male, trying to kill me while I photograph his ladies. Has found her way inside each time. She thinks the dishwasher is really cool. She is also so sweet and patient with the kids. What other human or animal could make it through a life of pure torture, then turn around and give love to the same species who tortured them? Vintage Roses: Singapore National Day 9th August 2010
http://vintageroses1.blogspot.com/2010/09/singapore-national-day-9th-august-2010.html
Thursday, September 16, 2010. Singapore National Day 9th August 2010. On national day, Horse, Winnie and I headed out for our usual brunch, but this time we decided to try Halia, a small, but stylish restaurant in the middle of the Botantical Gardens. We were late for their brunch menu which ended at 3pm but staff were very accommodating and agreed to let us have our selection from their brunch menu. Rich and sinfully good! Southern Girl Florals: July 2009
http://southerngirlflorals.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Autumn Wreaths on Etsy. I have been working hard on getting my autumn wreaths listed in my Etsy shop. The Gathering Season Wreath. There are a lot of steps involved in listing an item. The whole process starts when I shop for the materials for my wreath. Sometimes I go into the store with an idea already in my head and other times I pick up a flower and the idea for a wreath is there! I perfect my product photos in Photoshop - cropping, enhancing and tweaking the colors a bit.

The Beneficial Bee: February 2012
http://thebeneficialbee.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 23, 2012. Farm Animals Gone Wild. Pearl was first. She only lasted a couple of seconds before she threw in the towel. Glenn was the next to ride Smokey. Glenn can tell you it is really hard to ride a horse who is biting your feet while your wife is chanting, "Eight seconds! Sadly, he was no Luke Perry. It was my turn to take on the tiny beast. Things were going okay until Pumpkin started messing with Smokey. Links to this post. Sunday, February 12, 2012. Oliver has been sick now for se...

Sunday, August 26, 2012. Before I tell the tale our week-long hunt for humpback whales, I would like to give thanks to the millions of tiny fish who brought an incredible number of birds and mammals to our part of the California coast to feed. You rocked our world. Whale Hunting Day One:. My excitement began to wane. Pearl and I smiled at seals and Oliver spent time with fishermen. Whale Hunting Day Two. We drove away from the pier certain the whales were gone for good. Glenn noticed a pod of dolphin...
