Ben's Breakfast

Sunday, 25 May 2008. Yesterday we went to London for the day, sans enfants. We spent the morning in the Cabinet War Rooms, which were absolutely fascinating. Then we bought fabulous focaccia sandwiches in a tiny deli opposite Downing Street and ate them overlooking the Thames. The highlight of the day was the matinee performance of Joseph - we have had the tickets booked for almost 9 months, and it was brilliant. Wednesday, 23 April 2008. Homo Erectus- without holding on! La La (from the Teletubbies).

Ben's Breakfast: March 2008

http://bensbreakfast.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

Friday, 14 March 2008. So I went to Ohio on Sunday- which involved a flight to Chicago, and then a connection to Cleveland airport. The first leg of the flight was uneventful. when I was waiting for boarding for the second leg I was called to the desk. I thought that I was going to be offered an upgrade or something, but instead they took my boarding pass off me- apparently they had a problem with weight on the plane- I am clearly carrying a few pounds! Anyway, when I told him that my car rental details ...

Ben's Breakfast: October 2007

http://bensbreakfast.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, 28 October 2007. An update on life in the UK. I have not paid much tax in the last week- despite buying some clothes and food. We spent the day at a family photograph sitting- Tim would not actually sit, or look at the man with the camera- he also threw balls all around the studio for most of the sitting. Anyway I am pleased with the contemporary feel of the samples we have got so far. The photographer told Elaine that she was trying too hard and had developed a squint! Was he coming on to her?

Dickies days of Stuff: July 2009

http://dickiesdaysoff.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Dickies days of Stuff. 30 something bloke waffles on about stuff. Wednesday, 15 July 2009. We went for dinner with the girls from the old house on Monday and I am hoping that I left my camera there or I have lost it. That's all until I find the camera:). Thursday, 9 July 2009. I went training, It hurts. Wednesday, 1 July 2009. The weekend was good. I'm not a fan of the races but Newmarket. I found this sign for a little village, Em said I should live there can't imagine why. Want to go to our local Tesco.

Dickies days of Stuff: Paleo wagon

http://dickiesdaysoff.blogspot.com/2012/12/paleo-wagon.html

Dickies days of Stuff. 30 something bloke waffles on about stuff. Thursday, 6 December 2012. Completely fell off the Paleo wagon, I'm just not organised enough. I don't seem to have time for anything outside of work at the moment but I don't feel very productive at work. The daily commute is also wearing me down. Who would have thought that a couple of snowflakes cold stop or significantly slow down a hundred tonne diesel train. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Busy, very busy.

Dickies days of Stuff. 30 something bloke waffles on about stuff. Wednesday, 13 August 2008. On the plus side I've escaped from team and shift work for at least a year, yeh. Sunday, 10 August 2008. Friday, Em was over and we went to the Imperial war museum, I wasn't expecting much but it was very impressive. They don't mess around they bring out the big guns right away. These ones were off a first world war warship and weighed 100 tonnes each. Brilliant. The museum for a trip its well worth it and I'll.

Dickies days of Stuff: Man shed and workbench

http://dickiesdaysoff.blogspot.com/2012/12/man-shed-and-workbench.html

Dickies days of Stuff. 30 something bloke waffles on about stuff. Friday, 28 December 2012. Man shed and workbench. Cracked open the router and jigsaw today to get some ore done on the workbench project in the man shed. I fitted a draw and put a temporary top on it until I can get a some MDF sheets and cut them down. Doesn't look to bad got to use the jig saw as well. On another subject the worlds strongest man is on, it's like a count down to new year, brilliant. Labels: Man shed and workbench.

http://dickiesdaysoff.blogspot.com/2012/12/busy-very-busy.html

Dickies days of Stuff. 30 something bloke waffles on about stuff. Thursday, 13 December 2012. Busy, very busy. I can believe I haven't posted an update for a week. This is in part due to not getting a seat on the train making it difficult to type and just being busy. So to catch up it has been cold, to cold to use the motorbike, which means walking to the station. Good news is booked sometime off to go snowboarding in February and. Bought a new fleece to keep me toasty. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://dickiesdaysoff.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Dickies days of Stuff. 30 something bloke waffles on about stuff. Tuesday, 30 October 2012. Slight change in plan. I couldn't face doing the window sill today, filled it yesterday and made it fit snug but as the clocks went back there are not enough hours of daylight in the day. Today was for a proper project, a work bench, which was more work than I expected. Haven't finished the top yet couldn't get the MDF in the car as well as the planks, but its coming along. Monday, 29 October 2012. I have a cold.

Dickies days of Stuff: June 2009

http://dickiesdaysoff.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Dickies days of Stuff. 30 something bloke waffles on about stuff. Friday, 26 June 2009. It would appear that the old bike is in fact. Repairable the quote came in at £2300 so might have to stick with the old beast. All takes far to long to sort out I would have been better marching the B* * *D to a cash point and forcing him to give me the money. Went to B&Q and bought a sprinkler to improve the lawn and a big plant called a Red star and put it in Em's part of the garden, the bit with flowers. ART 23 and...
