I’m a singer/guitarist/cellist/pianist/songwriter/recording and mixing engineer from Essex. I draw influences from artists such as Bryan Adams, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Alter Bridge and Mark Knopfler. Soulful melodic guitar solos, powerful rock vocals and gnarly, aggressive riffs combine to give my take on rock ‘n’ roll! Switch to mobile view.

Ben Wing's tech blog
Ben Wing's tech blog. Sunday, July 11, 2010. This is not new territory, I admit. But given how much I hate Perl now, I figured I had to write something. But I remember when I started trying to do more with Perl, especially involving arrays. I could never quite remember the syntax for array manipulations, and had difficulty figuring out what the actual internal model for arrays was - how were they stored, when were they being copied vs. passed by reference, etc? Someone eventually p ointed me to Python.
