Not being an economist I could be completely off the mark . but I don't think so. There are two issues which I think are going to break this cycle, the first is consumption and the second is our "potential skills ability" for lack of a better phrase. So what to do? It is such an unfortunate fact that holidays have to end with a day of travel and that this detracts ever so slightly from the enjoyment of the holiday. There weren't any photo opportunities today so no pretty scenes of the Aegean today. The order of today was strictly utilitarian :. 09:30 Taxi to Parikia. 10:45 Ferry to Athens. 14:45 Taxi to airport. And so it ends.

Wednesday, May 22, 2013. First Floor Slab and beyond. It has been about a month since the last post, and in that time, quite a bit has happened. This is the 'fast part' of the building process and then I know everything will slow down for the finishes. They worked well into the evening to get it completed. The funniest shock of all was not our miscalculation but the plumber. The plumbing for the toilet and basin for the main bathroom has ended up in Carl's study! Monday, March 17, 2014. It's been six weeks now since we moved, which has given me time to unpack most of the boxes and get quite a few of the pictures up. I am so happy with the house and even though there is still a ton of things to do (curtains, more furniture, cover existing furniture, buy rugs etc., not to mention the garden! Tuesday, July 23, 2013. And on and on. I'm running out of titles for our progress. The roof is still being completed, despite the blistering start over a month ago. But, the house is really looking so good now. The downstairs ceilings are mostly in and rhinolited (here is a pic of our diningroom). I love our big window on our stair case.
