Discovering the beast in me. Documenting my journey to becoming better than yesterday and activating Beast Mode! Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Kind of took some time away from blogging. I think it was more that I was just frustrated with the way things have been going in the gym and in my personal life the last month. I'm taking some steps this week in order to figure out a different approach to my stress and everything going on in my life. I really hope this works, because I do not enjoy being this way.

I decided to tackle this WOD Thursday night, just to get it over with. I went into it just hoping to beat my pathetic score of 12 last year. Holy crap, I haven't updated in a week! My bad. Life calls my name and takes away my time from this blog. so we'll start way back from last Thursday. Thursday strength: Front squat: 5(65%)-5(75%)-5(85%) 45kg-51kg-57kg. WOD: with 15:00 on the clock:. Friday Speed: 3 Jerks @ 60% of 1rm (30kg) on the minute for 8:00. Team run 455 1/2 m.

Really helps you build that shrug and helps build speed into the drop. Worked with Brandon and Zach, I like working with strong guys like Zach, Bear and Tommy, I think they push me to be stronger. Box Jumps were Easy, Ball Slams felt slow, Ring Rows just plain SUCK. I need to really practice these. I ran out in the set of 9! Had to rest 5 and 4, very weak! Glen Ellyn is a long drive but, Its work!
