The Unpublished Writers' Guide to Survival. Saturday, November 17, 2012. I don't know if reposting all these is helpful to you out there in blogland, but I started it, so I'm going to finish it. Here's the next Pitfall for all you NaNo racers - reposted from 11/17/09:. NaNo Pitfall #6 - Writing Yourself Into a Corner. The Writing Spectacle: 2010 - Books Read
http://writingspectacle.blogspot.com/2010/01/2010-books-read.html
Thursday, January 28, 2010. 2010 - Books Read. Since this post is going up most of the way through January, I have to admit this isn't a banner start to my yearly reading goals. Last year. I reached a total of 78 books. With a shaky start to twenty-ten, I'm not sure if I'll reach that total, but I'll try. As long as the books are good, though, the quantity doesn't matter. 2009 had some great titles. Here's hoping 2010 brings more of the same. In reverse order of date read. By Monica McCarty (12/31/10).

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN. Killer Chicks: August 2015
http://www.killerchicks.org/2015_08_01_archive.html
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN. Sunday, August 30, 2015. Yesterday was my daughter's birthday! I made a cake. It didn't explode. Or implode. Always a good thing. Which means summer is coming to an end and that means a return to normal. Yay! This is much needed because I no longer have any concept of time. I might also need a bit of a detox! This summer has been a blast, but it's time. Time to get back to a regular routine, into the habit of making to-do lists, and putting the effort into getting some writing done.

The Writing Spectacle: 2009 Books Read
http://writingspectacle.blogspot.com/2009/01/2009-books-read.html
Thursday, January 1, 2009. It's that time of year again. Time to wrap up last year's reading list and begin one for 2009. At last count, 2008. Was left after reading 73.5 books. (The .5 is for the last book, which I started on December 31st and finished today.) That's up 3.5 from the year before. Not a great gain, but it's probably better than in 2006 - before I began keeping track. As before, they're in the order in which they were read - with the most recent book at the top. By Pamela Palmer (12/5/09).

The Writing Spectacle: Top 100 Books that Influenced Me
http://writingspectacle.blogspot.com/2010/07/top-100-books-that-influenced-me.html
Sunday, July 11, 2010. Top 100 Books that Influenced Me. Drumroll. Okay, so it's not that important. This is just a list I put together of the top 100 books that had some sort of influence - either on my life or my writing. Not an easy task. For most of the middle numbers, their spots are interchangeable. As I may have said, some of these books I really don't like, but that doesn't mean they didn't influence me. Sadly, I never remembered enough details about that one book to put it on the list. 84 One Fl...

The Writing Spectacle: Sunday Update - Week 30
http://writingspectacle.blogspot.com/2015/07/sunday-update-week-30.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. Sunday Update - Week 30. It's been a week. Stuff happened. Other stuff was done. Stuff happening tends to derail stuff being done. Know what I mean? And it's not all stuff I can talk about. Nothing personally specific to me - close enough so that I'm effected by it but far enough away so blasting it on the internet isn't up to me. I should have the final edits back for Wish in One Hand sometime this coming week. How are things in your world? July 26, 2015 at 3:42 PM. Im still typin...
