The Usage of Baneful Herbs and Curios…. This is a cautious journey into the darker side of Nature and her fiercer aspect as manifested in the so called ‘baneful’ herbs. While there are as many ethical codes as there are types of Witches, remember that every herb has its own blessings and curses. Others, such as belladonna in p...

Mummblings, conjuration, and art from the Hedges of a Green Witch. Crafting a Book of Shadows. Saturday, August 30, 2014. Working with Mountain Laurel- a toxic beauty. Earlier in Spring I collected Texas Mountain Laurel flower cuttings and a bucket of Chittamwood berries. The sensuality and sheer beautiful energy of this tree can be worked with if done so in care. Incense, simmering oils, candles, inks, dried wreaths, amulets, and ritual kindling bundles are all possibilities. Daniel A. Schulke. A satura...

Cauldron Craft Oddities: Solar Flares & Lucifer: making some Witches uncomfortable

Mummblings, conjuration, and art from the Hedges of a Green Witch. Crafting a Book of Shadows. Sunday, September 28, 2014. Solar Flares and Lucifer: making some Witches uncomfortable. Points to be made:. I don't think there is any way I could live in modern Western society or be raised a Catholic and somehow missed the baggage associated with the name Lucifer. That seems like common knowledge and does not require an outside reminder. So who was Lucifer and if he isn't 'THE DEVIL', then what was he? Diana...

Black Salt for ritual has long been used in European folk and African Diaspora traditions and is also known as Witch’s Salt, Sal Negro, and Drive Away Salt. Cauldron Craft Oddities: Hag Stone Lore
http://cauldroncraftoddities.blogspot.com/2012/10/hag-stone-lore.html
Mummblings, conjuration, and art from the Hedges of a Green Witch. Crafting a Book of Shadows. Tuesday, October 30, 2012. What is a Hag Stone? I guess it was my time to look into the Otherworld. On the full moon this month, I started doodling little designs and symbols on them, just working with the stone. This is the riverbed area in McAllister Park, San Antonio TX that I found these in. In old Europe, this stone kept the "evil hag" spirit away in order to prevent her from stealing horses and children.
