South Seas Adventures January - March 2011. Regent Voyager of the Seas. San Francisco, Hawaii, French Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillipines, Taiwan, South Korea, China. Saturday, March 26, 2011. Five short months ago as I was heading into back surgery, I wondered if I was really going to be able to climb the Great Wall. I had such a hard time walking let alone climbing stairs and steep walkways. I had great pain with every step I took or even standing. I have my life back.

World Quest 2013: March 2013
http://worldquest2013.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 31, 2013. Cochin has been a stopping point for trading as early as the 10. Century BC. From the 15. The weather here is miserable most of the time. In the summer months (April and May), the average. Temperature reaches 104° with 100% humidity. They need the power for air-conditioning! Today, we were fortunate as the temperature was only around 91° with 60% humidity. Cute child we saw. New city of Cochin. New mixed in with the old. This is the type of boat we rode on for our harbor tour.

South Seas Adventures January - March 2011. Regent Voyager of the Seas. San Francisco, Hawaii, French Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillipines, Taiwan, South Korea, China. Monday, January 31, 2011. I found Bora Bora to be boring boring. This South Seas island is the quintessential tropical island:. A small mountainous volcanic island covered in lush vegetation, surrounded by a ring of coral reefs and 30 tiny islets with lagoons of blues and greens. And the musical South Pacific.

South America Cruise: Cape Horn & Ushuaia
http://beverlywalker-southamericacruise.blogspot.com/2012/01/cape-horn-ushuaia.html
Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Cape Horn and Ushuaia. We are sailing the inside passage toward Ushuaia, Argentina on Tierra del Fuego, the world’s more southerly city. We are in the fjords and are surrounded by snow capped mountains and islands. It is gloomy looking, with heavy dark grey clouds hanging low over the valleys. It is raining and cold outside. The water is flat so we are having a good ride. This morning I awoke to glaciers and ice floes. What a wonderful way to start the day. Our captain has de...

South America Cruise: Bridge, Bridge, Bridge
http://beverlywalker-southamericacruise.blogspot.com/2012/01/bridge-bridge-bridge.html
Sunday, January 15, 2012. Bridge, Bridge, Bridge. I have played bridge every day, twice a day. I want to sleep in and lounge around in my pajamas. I want to read my emails, twitter and facebook before my feet hit the floor in the morning. I don’t want to put on makeup and comb my hair. And that was the good part of the day. My original blog for today is not fit for public consumption. I am steaming mad and I have nowhere else to vent. Where there is the worst ride. You can feel every little movement.

South America Cruise: Punta Arenas
http://beverlywalker-southamericacruise.blogspot.com/2012/01/punta-arenas.html
Tuesday, January 10, 2012. For the first time Beverly and I went on different excursions today so here I am with trusty report number one. My excursion was called. 8220;The Tycoons of Patagonia,” and began with a sightseeing drive around the bustling frontier town of Punta Arenas, capital of the Magellanes Region. This is the southernmost city in the world situated on the Strait of Magellan, and home to 140,000 persons. Prior to that only Catholics could be buried in Chile … so it makes you wonder. Our f...

Alaska Cruise August 2009: Day 8 -- College Fjord
http://alaskacruiseaugust2009.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-8-college-fjord.html
Day 8 - College Fjord. Woke up this morning and quickly got dressed and out of the room. We were rocking enough that you have to hold on to something while brushing your teeth. It was not a good day for a shower in something that is smaller than a telephone booth. Up to the outside decks to get some air. We had a pleasant farewell dinner with. Ralph and Shirley. We really enjoyed their company. Ralph played bridge and Shirley now knits, so we had a lot in common! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am ...

Adventures from the Other Side of the World: New York City -- Day 2
http://beverlywalkersworldadventures.blogspot.com/2010/09/new-york-city-day-2.html
Monday, September 20, 2010. New York City - Day 2. New York City is one crowded place, with people rushing here and there. Traffic is congested but not noisy anymore. Used to be you could hear a symphony of car horns constantly blaring, but today there is a $350 fine for blowing your horn in anger! Cities make up counties, but in this case, the five boroughs (each of which is a separate county) make up one city. September 20, 2010 at 8:57 PM. September 20, 2010 at 9:35 PM.
