Duck Notes: Camping on the Lake
http://ducknotes.blogspot.com/2015/05/camping-on-lake.html
From the brain of Duck Hunter: Stories. Thoughts. Photos. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Camping on the Lake. We spent last weekend relaxing at a lake front campsite with some friends. They also brought a flotilla of kayaks so we were able to spend some time paddling on the lake. We took the youngest out on one trip. We put her in her own boat but had it tethered to my boat. She was unhappy. She wouldn't admit to being nervous, she said she just wanted to stay at camp. Found your blog through Random Connections!

lifes a journey.: Catching Up
http://marygracesjourney.blogspot.com/2015/01/catching-up.html
Jan 11, 2015. Ok so it seems that it may or may not have been almost one full year since I posted on my blog! Hey, mamas get busy :). Our sweet Carleigh Grace is now a big 2 year old who thinks she is much older. She is potty trained during the day and wears pull ups at night. She talks a ton! She knows there is a baby in mama's belly named Caleb and he is coming out at some point. She will probably be surprised when the time actually comes! We have so much to look forward to in 2015! Also this year, as ...

lifes a journey.: September 2013
http://marygracesjourney.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sep 2, 2013. Carleigh is almost 10 months. This time last year, I was counting down the days until the first day of Fall. I was crazy pinning and loving fall things on Pinterest. This year I have been so busy chasing Carleigh Grace that I have hardly noticed that Sept. 22 (first day of Fall) is just around the corner! By the way, have I mentioned lately how much I love being Carleigh's mama? My heart is full! I recently saw this on a mommy blog and saved it. I love this quote! This month Carleigh has dev...

lifes a journey.: Scala dei Turchi & a wonderful few days
http://marygracesjourney.blogspot.com/2013/10/scala-dei-turchi-wonderful-few-days.html
Oct 15, 2013. Scala dei Turchi and a wonderful few days. Rob is on leave this week! It has been so nice to have some family time these last few days. Lately it's been easy to get a bit overwhelmed but this week I am feeling thankful and refreshed. I have been reading John daily on my Bible app while rocking Carleigh during her morning naps and that has also touched my heart and helped me to feel closer to Jesus. And walks along the Mediterranean are always good for the soul! Posted by mary grace. Thanks ...

lifes a journey.: July 2012
http://marygracesjourney.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Jul 13, 2012. Rob felt baby girl move last night! She always gets active right when I lay down in bed. Maybe because I'm standing/sitting all day and the change of position makes her move? I have been feeling her move since about 16-18 weeks. I didn't exactly know what I was feeling, but now that I know what it feels like, I remember how lots of those little rumblings were definitely her. Got crafty with Jen this weekend. Pinterest. This is the idea I liked/pinned for the nursery:. I said in a post long ...

Duck Notes: Bear Canister in Shining Rock Wilderness
http://ducknotes.blogspot.com/2015/06/bear-canister-in-shining-rock-wilderness.html
From the brain of Duck Hunter: Stories. Thoughts. Photos. Sunday, June 14, 2015. Bear Canister in Shining Rock Wilderness. For our anniversary Cari planned a backpacking trip for her and I to take. Last weekend we headed up to one of my all time favorite places to hike. We arrived near the Blue Ridge Pkwy with our bags packed and ready to go. The weather was beautiful and we took the last available parking spot when we arrived. We stopped for a short lunch break on Tennent Mountain. It took another hour ...

Duck Notes: Shining Rock Wilderness: Backpacked
http://ducknotes.blogspot.com/2011/09/shining-rock-wilderness-backpacked.html
From the brain of Duck Hunter: Stories. Thoughts. Photos. Saturday, September 17, 2011. Shining Rock Wilderness: Backpacked. It's not an adventure without a challenge. The latest backpacking adventure took us into the Shining Rock Wilderness area in North Carolina. This kicked off our adventure in the wilderness. Eventually we made it to Shining Rock, where there is a field of white rocks. Saturday morning we broke camp and headed back into the wilderness of unmarked trails. After a few river crossings a...

Duck Notes: March 2015
http://ducknotes.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
From the brain of Duck Hunter: Stories. Thoughts. Photos. Thursday, March 26, 2015. Which School is the Best? We have two elementary schools in our town and they decided to hold a basketball game between the faculty of each school earlier this week. Tickets to get in were only a dollar and we thought it would be something fun to do. Apparently EVERYONE else in town thought it would be a fun event and I was surprised to see the high school gym fill up for a basketball game played by teachers. We got home,...

Duck Notes: Pinterest Stairs!
http://ducknotes.blogspot.com/2015/07/pinterest-stairs.html
From the brain of Duck Hunter: Stories. Thoughts. Photos. Monday, July 20, 2015. Look what I found on Pinterest" is not an uncommon phrase heard in my house. Sometimes these are bigger projects some are small ideas. Some eventually move out of the idea phase and into the action phase. The latest project that Cari put into use in our house was removing the carpet off of the stairs and painting the treads. Cari did all of the work on this start to finish and shared some photos of how this turned out. Lake ...

Duck Notes: August 2015
http://ducknotes.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
From the brain of Duck Hunter: Stories. Thoughts. Photos. Tuesday, August 25, 2015. For a while the internet had been getting slower and slower in our house. I don't think it was actually the internet as much as it was the wifi connected devices. Being directly wired didn't result in such a bad experience but the problem is nearly all of our devices are using wifi - even the television! I wasn't going to let the terrorists win this one! Sunday, August 23, 2015. Just because I failed to post this photo on...
