Breath Holding Spells
Click here to edit subtitle. Breath Holding Spells occur in 5% of otherwise healthy children. These spells are involuntary and are usually caused when a child becomes injured or upset. Breath Holding Spells are difficult to witness for parents and families because the child stops breathing turns bluish purple (cyanotic spells) or pale (pallid spells), becomes limp and loses consciousness. Some children experience seizure like movements in their exremities after the spell. We appreciate your efforts!
