Thursday, January 8, 2015. Message from Safety Office - Wind. All Fire/EMS Personnel,. Dangerously low wind chills are expected over the next few days. Protect yourself and patients from frostbite/hypothermia by covering exposed skin (hats, gloves, blankets, etc.). Also, sustained wind speeds will increase to 15-20 MPH this evening through late tomorrow afternoon (1/9/15). Factor this into ALL operational considerations (ventilation, fire spread, mode of attack, rehab). Risk Management and Safety Office.
