The thoughts of an avid reader. Just another WordPress.com weblog. February 1, 2007. Posted by Chris Lewis in Attempts at Fiction. What are you waiting for? Has the alarm gone off yet? You don’t want to be late. She crawled out of bed because the slow scratchiness of his voice drove her mad. Every morning it was the same routine. He would roll over ten minutes before the alarm just to see if it had gone off. He lay in bed wondering why they were still married. He was the parent; he was the marriage.

I came across a poem that really made me laugh…then made me cry a little. Enjoy. 8220;Fat Is Not a Fairy Tale” by Jane Yolen. I am thinking of a fairy tale,. Hansel and Great,.

The thoughts of an avid reader. Just another WordPress.com weblog. February 1, 2007. Posted by Chris Lewis in Uncategorized. Is learning for the sake of learning truly worth it? I repeat myself, but do they hear? And is what I am saying true? By the time you graduate, a high school diploma will not be enough to get a decent job. I am not a teacher for the money. You are fortunate enough to live in a country where a free education is provided until you are 18. I read and read some more. Something inside o...

The thoughts of an avid reader. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Can I wish for more wishes? March 25, 2007. Posted by Chris Lewis in Uncategorized. Would I use it to be productive on work? Would I use it to read and/or write? Would I use it to give back to the world I live in? Who knows…WE DON’T HAVE AN EXTRA HOUR. I must do more with what I have. Wish me luck. Are we all meaning makers? March 12, 2007. Posted by Chris Lewis in Educational Ponderings. As a part of my M.A. Degree in Education.

The “About” Page. Newer posts →. November 4, 2009 · 12:44 pm. I can’t believe I haven’t updated for over a month. This whole working-full-time and taking-a-full-grad-school-load thing really impacts my blogging abilities. Oh well. As with many things in my life right now, I have to repeat it’s only temporary in my head, over and over, until I feel better. I’m also going to be an aunt in a few weeks! The “About” Page. Life changes, but it does go on. →. December 23, 2009 · 8:39 am. Hello, my name is Amber and I’m an awful blogger. I could run off a list of totally valid excuses, including upheaval on both sides of my family, finishing out my fall semester, etc – but the reality is the same: I suck at doing this with any regularity. Speaking of desks, I’d really like to put my head down on mine. Excuse me. Filed under library science. Life changes, but it does go on. →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

The “About” Page. Foodie at heart, lazy in practice. Still to-be →. May 6, 2010 · 9:11 am. After two years and four months of graduate school, it’s surreal to realize that I have exactly one paper left to write, and then I’m done. Six semesters of pushing, juggling, and balancing, and I’m this close to be really and truly done. Degree in hand. Strange. At the very least, if I do end up unemployed as of August, at least I’ll finally have time to write the great American novel, right? Still to-be →. Update...

Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Looking for new clients. Since quite a few of my regular clients have moved on to traditional publishers, it seems they don't need me anymore. Which opens up a bit of room in my editing calendar. If you're writing (or have written) a book then you really need an editor. Seriously. No author should edit their own work. Authors tend to read what they meant to write instead of what they actually wrote. Send an email to bibliophile@lifeisbetterwithbooks. Sunday, January 4, 2015.
