Living Quietly in a Busy World. Sep 19, 2013. Posted on Sep 19, 2013. It Isn’t Always a Metaphor. A friend sent me a card once, quite at random, with the quote All rising to great place is by a winding stair and a black and white photograph of a wrought iron winding staircase. Sometimes I think I divined some meaning out of the quote, but most of the time I create my own meanings in life. Your email address will not be published. Required fields are marked *. Living Quietly in a Busy World. Mar 23, 2014. Posted on Mar 23, 2014. Am I Doing This Right? Boardwalk in Astoria, OR – a very hazardous place. But I feel I am slowly learning as I get used to multi-tasking on a bicycle. If, as I try to clip in one pedal, I feel my balance going, I panic unclip out of the other pedal. Easy! I don’t wear flip flops when I bike. Genius! I still, however, manage to injure myself when doing the most minor of bike repairs. Working on it! Hoping for the Never-ending Climb.

After that first week in Nova Scotia I stayed at a B&B waiting for the weather to clear and decided to get my hair cut to kill time. I apologized, quietly, mumbling, to the stylist about the state of my scalp and the strong smell of sweat and citronella effusing from my head. Aug 23, 2013. Posted on Aug 23, 2013. Next Entries ». Hadrian on a Bicycle. Newer posts →. Luscious, Luxurious, Lavishly Lush Lycra. July 31, 2012. I have a confession to make: I wear bib shorts. And in the spirit of full disclosure, I love wearing them; I genuinely, genuinely love wearing them. I decided to purchase another pair. Now, having said all that, it’s important to add that I am not proud, and I have far too little shame. I fully and deeply embrace the fact that I am and look like a complete dork most of the time, and. Being, therefore, sufficient...

Wednesday, May 13, 2015. 2015 Bike Week, Day Three: This Bud's for You, 13 May. This Bud's for you. Out of sight, out of mind. That is what the lead trio must have been for, at least, the entire length of the Puddingstone Drive stretch. I mean they had crossed the line, swung the U-turn at the end of the street, and were standing in the median waiting before the bunch finally came into view. A big lead? Charge of the bunch. Bunch sprint for 4th. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Saturday, May 30, 2015. 2015 Long Beach Bike Fest. You all remember Luis Garcia. check the website. sign the petition. Now, Nebraska here had a choice to make at this point. He had picked up that can of Pabst at a hand-up. After jumping through the van (yes, the van) he could have dropped the can, aced a running remount, and beat the guy behind him for, I believe, 2nd place. Instead he chose the beer and ran his bike across the line for 3rd. Did he choose correctly? Dumpster dodging through the alley.

CLR Effect: Up the Road: Ride of Silence (Claremont)
http://centerlinerule.blogspot.com/2015/05/up-road-ride-of-silence-claremont.html
Saturday, May 16, 2015. Up the Road: Ride of Silence (Claremont). Often times too many cooks in the kitchen creates confusion, too many groups doing the same thing dilutes the message. While the primary purpose of the Ride of Silence is one of remembrance, it is also intended as a message, that death and injury on our public streets is unacceptable can be avoided. And thus the larger the group, the more effective the communication of that message. Cycling Connection's Ride of Silence. The Local Ride List.
