It's a rare recent instance of an action flick that actually ties up the plot points pretty neatly. It's not great, but it's not a bad way to kill an afternoon. There's one real reason to see this. It's the token buddy scene where the boyfriend and his best friend are having the relationship discussion while playing some sort of sport. Tesg's big dumb movies. Just like going yourself. only not. Friday, March 28, 2014. The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014). Three stars (out of four). People will be pausing scenes for hours when this comes out on home video just to catch all the little details in each scene. Wes Anderson overloaded this thing with detail, cameo appearances, and silliness, and that actually keeps this movie from being a brilliant masterpiece. It's good, maybe even great, but it's WAY too over-the-top. The old big dumb movies.
