Fireseed Anthology: A postmodern approach to ancient faith. Sunday, July 09, 2006. Critical Question Two: Connecting with Lost. How do we approach a city? How do we not just look for individual conversions but group conversions? Not just see one but 200 - -see blog down below on organic church stuff). Where do we start? How do we connect them with one another (if web-based methods are used at all) and/or an appropriate local body? Posted by Melinda at 1:51 PM. Who would I/we report to? Forecasts should b...

I Crave Milkshakes: December 2011
http://riskingonthebanks.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Just life as a new mom and ready adventurer living out this part of my story on the banks of a river in the heart of the mountains. Thursday, December 8, 2011. Perhaps we've gone overboard on trying to teach Buster about dangerous things that we don't want him to touch. Particularly with regard to hot things. Perhaps. Buster probably lives by that saying that goes something like "If you're smoking, you'd better be on fire". All things considered, I think I'm actually okay with that.

Just life as a new mom and ready adventurer living out this part of my story on the banks of a river in the heart of the mountains. Sunday, January 20, 2013. I love the fact that with Buster's increasing verbal skills comes increasing potential for conversation. Granted, we sometimes have the same conversation, oh, maybe a thousand times a day. Such as:. Buster: Where Daddy go? Me: Daddy went to work. Buster: Daddy ride a bus? Me: Yes, Daddy parked his truck in the parking lot and rode a bus to work.

Just life as a new mom and ready adventurer living out this part of my story on the banks of a river in the heart of the mountains. Monday, December 16, 2013. Its not that life really seems to move at a frenetic pace right now. Partly, thats a choice that we've made as a family. We've had the luxury of many low key family days this Fall. And its been good for us. Good for our little family. Somehow, I relented. And I exhaled. Slow, quiet, peaceful. For just a moment. Momma I'm freezing my bippy! Http:/ w...

Just life as a new mom and ready adventurer living out this part of my story on the banks of a river in the heart of the mountains. Friday, October 28, 2011. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a guy in a giraffe suit. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. The often unedited nature of kids' responses also, oftentimes, has its heartache. Once the picture was complete, I asked some of my standard questions including "What's good about this person? All identifying information, of course, has been changed regarding chil...

Just life as a new mom and ready adventurer living out this part of my story on the banks of a river in the heart of the mountains. Monday, June 25, 2012. Somewhere between one and a half and two. Not really a baby. Not fully described by the word "toddler". All boy. Part comedian. Part explorer. Part stunt-man. Very silly. All intertwined with a sweetness that sometimes catches me by surprise. That little gesture embodies a whole lot of what I hope I never forget about this sweet boy at this age. Big Th...

I Crave Milkshakes: Why Grace?
http://riskingonthebanks.blogspot.com/2013/05/why-grace.html
Just life as a new mom and ready adventurer living out this part of my story on the banks of a river in the heart of the mountains. Thursday, May 16, 2013. Recently, we welcomed, for the second time, the most wonderful gift into our lives. A new baby. This time, a girl. And though we are tired and somewhat overwhelmed in all the ways that are typical with a newborn in the house, I think its fair to say that we are also completely humbled by being entrusted with two lives. A son and a daughter. Theologica...

Just life as a new mom and ready adventurer living out this part of my story on the banks of a river in the heart of the mountains. Sunday, September 9, 2012. Almost two. How can it be? It seems like a million images instantly flash through my mind when I think on the past two years of being Buster's mom. A few things that I don't want to forget from the past few months:. Buster has developed a deep "tough guy" voice that he uses when he is being particularly silly. If it were his choice, he probably wou...

Just life as a new mom and ready adventurer living out this part of my story on the banks of a river in the heart of the mountains. Sunday, January 8, 2012. Buster and I attended part of the race a few evening ago (with coats on, as recommended). We watched as this little boy enthusiastically pushed Tonka trucks and mini-Monster trucks through the dirt and over jumps. And, true to our friend's word, there were indeed flashlights. He was pretty excited to have real life spectators. View my complete profile.
