Trip report: March 05. I joined the team going to Sri Lanka 3 weeks before the flight! In the end the two week trip, working as part of a medical camp team of 150 people, was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. When we arrived in Sri Lanka, we were split in 6 teams and everyone dispersed to different parts of the country. In March 05 this year, I went with a group of 150 volunteers to Sri Lanka to help support and counsel the peoples affected by the Tsunami. The experience of seeing the devastation both in the surrounding countryside and on the faces of the survivors has made me want to continue to support the disaster victims. I am aiming to raise money to help with a number of projects in Sri Lanka to provide practical support on the ground for the people I met and others like them. £450. Amount raised: £560.00.
