A Night in the Neighborhood. May 20th, 2011 at 1:09 AM. I just was an indirect witness to domestic violence. 7 comments Leave a comment. May 20th, 2011 01:33 am (UTC). Sadly, women will often find some way to blame themselves, or minimize the partner's culpability. I used to volunteer at a shelter, and it was painful to see the same women coming back time and time again. May 20th, 2011 04:10 am (UTC). Fortunately, she can't. May 20th, 2011 04:54 am (UTC). Feb 10th, 2011 at 9:39 PM. I think I have just created the perfect sandwich! This is made from a very. Flat sourdough bread with a nice and strong crust. The dough included chopped chilies, garlic, and olives. I will write about my recent adventures in baking later, and in more detail. For now, this teaser will have to suffice. 4 comments Leave a comment. Feb 10th, 2011 08:57 pm (UTC). That does look good. :). Feb 11th, 2011 01:26 am (UTC). Looks like nice bread, but what's inside the sandwich?

Dental Dementia - Hot and Cold Running Blather

Dental Dementia - Hot and Cold Running Blather. Jul 15th, 2015 07:17 pm. Got so dehydrated - despite drinking continuously after my mouth stopped bleeding - that Saturday I ended up in the ER. When the paramedics arrived, they got a blood pressure of 60 over nothing; they wouldn't let me try to walk out to the ambulance. The hospital hung two liters of saline and I recovered. Bet your last bippy I'm drinking now. 2015-07-16 01:14 am (UTC). Let the relaxing commence. 2015-07-16 01:42 am (UTC). Well, the v...

Nov 11th, 2014. Dear Doctor K.,. I expected you to object to my having modified my own meds, and you didnt disappoint me there. You didnt have a straightforward hissy, but I could tell, among other things, by your body language. The way you pulled yourself up to sit straighter on the stool at the counter told me you felt your authority threatened. You know what? Lucky me. Do you realize how silly you seemed, trying to sell me on prescription vitamin-D3? Give me a break, here! 9 comments Leave a comment.

Way ahead of you, Doc. Nov 8th, 2014 at 6:23 PM. He admitted that was okay. Guess its good Ive done my homework, yes? It a few times at work Friday, and it was still normal, with only half a dose. I also added the turmeric-based supplement Joan recommended, for pain relief. T. I almost started crying at that point. You know how I really know Im feeling better? Because he heard me laughing. Thats been quite rare, too. Another good sign: I put on one of my favorite latin albums yesterday, and danced a bit.

http://peristaltor.livejournal.com/177184.html
I Affirm and Aver the Following is Poo. The Whole Poo and Nothing But the Poo. April 16th, 2011. I got a surprise a few months ago from one of those "word of the day" sources. Did you know what the word "normal" means? From The Free Dictionary. 11 Conforming with, adhering to, or constituting a norm, standard, pattern, level, or type; typical. Pretty standard, right? Ah, but looksie whence the word originates:. Middle English, from Late Latin normlis, from Latin, made according to the square, from norma.

New Job - Colin MacDonald. March 9th, 2014. 07:29 am - New Job. The sabbatical is over: I started my new job this week. I've been pretty quiet about this out of paranoia that something would fall through at the last minute, but I've survived my first week on the job, and things are looking pretty good. I'm at Capital One Labs. March 9th, 2014 12:07 pm (UTC). The way you've described it, it sounds like it's finally a job that fits how you want to work! That's fantastic. So happy/optimistic for you! Sounds...

Podcasts - Colin MacDonald. February 26th, 2014. 02:10 pm - Podcasts. I started listening to podcasts when I was driving 45 minutes each way to work, just to keep my sanity. It turned out to be a really good way to wake my brain up in the morning and to get me out of work mode on the way home. These are the ones I'm listening to now. Broad range of science, politics, economics, philosophy, etc. This is the old Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. NPR TED Radio Hour.
