My little adventures south of the border. Last day on Isla…. One of the best things about working at a university is that you get two paid weeks off over Christmas and you don’t have to use your vacation time. Sweet. Since it’s been a very busy fall semester, I am now finally able to get to a couple final short blog posts on my trip to Isla Mujeres this past summer. They’re just random shots I took in the last couple of days there. I decided to have another beach day on my last full day there. I don’t kn...

Choosing Doorways...: May 2011
http://isladeb.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Just my little adventure to where life leads me.or where I might venture on my own. Life is all about doors we open. Saturday, May 14, 2011. The battle of the cameras. Here's a comparison in body styles. The G12 is bulkier and heavier and has an automatic lens cover. I was able to get closer long-distance shot with the Canon, but I actually like the Lumix shot better. Same thing with this one. These are pretty much the same, but I like the background better on the Lumix shot. The Canon wins on this one.

Don't even ask how old.I don't want to think about it. The day was pretty uneventful. My brother took me out to lunch at Panera and then I stopped by the grocery store on my way home. Oh, I did buy a pair of pants at Ross, as well.they were on sale. Pretty exciting, huh? Guatamalan "Worry Dolls". Before you g...

Choosing Doorways...: Manipulated Mexico...
http://isladeb.blogspot.com/2011/10/manipulated-mexico.html
Just my little adventure to where life leads me.or where I might venture on my own. Life is all about doors we open. Saturday, October 1, 2011. Two of the shops I went into were jewelry stores. I'm not really in the market for any jewelry, but I was just killing time. The first one was run by a young Mexican woman. The reason I went in was because I saw a ring in the window that was identical to mine, only smaller. Mosaic Tiles. (Recognize Qubano? Here's the original of that one. Posted by Isla Deb.

Just my little adventure to where life leads me.or where I might venture on my own. Life is all about doors we open. Tuesday, July 10, 2012. What does the future hold? Anyway, I'm still here.but don't know how much I'll be blogging. I guess it all depends on what comes up in central Texas a day at a time. So far, it hasn't been much, other than needing some rain.as usual. I guess I'll play it by ear. Posted by Isla Deb. Not much happening around here either and I dont get out much to see different places!
