my Pedagogs: January 2008

PEDAGOGS AND OTHER USED UNDERWEAR. Sunday, January 13, 2008. Students must be held accountable for benchmarks but at the same time, one has to keep an open mind. Students, unlike computer hardware, are extremely dynamic. A balance between benchmarks and student-perceived needs results in a very important and though achieved in unexpected fashion, a very static-objective, that each student is able to achieve at his or her maximum. my Pedagogs: June 2010

PEDAGOGS AND OTHER USED UNDERWEAR. Friday, June 25, 2010. Like a Dress, up the Gazzoo! One afternoon I needed to go to the store to get milk and fruit and (you know). Zuki did not want to go so I took Gabriela, Les and Nick and off we went. The grocer was quite busy at 5:10PM and I was feeling all stressed out trying to get around everyone and with 3 kids, each wanting to to be the independent shopper too. 8220;That is not supposed to be there”, so I thought, AND THEN THE REVELATION! 1] go down the ̷...

my Pedagogs: March 2008

PEDAGOGS AND OTHER USED UNDERWEAR. Friday, March 21, 2008. In the classroom it is critically important to, as I like to call it, ‘entertain’ or stimulate the class with interactively presented course concepts that are applied, not just lecture/convey information. Just as we all learn differently from our 5 senses, if these senses are utilized in teaching information, what might be considered dry-material, can be flavored right up. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). my Pedagogs: October 2006
http://pedagogs.stevebenbrown.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
PEDAGOGS AND OTHER USED UNDERWEAR. Sunday, October 1, 2006. Our world (especially in Los Angeles) is demographically and culturally diverse. I love the diversity found within the classroom. It can be both a wonderful challenge and a blessing to the learning process. Instructors must be keen to the cultures and perceptions of others without regard and align with the pinnacle goal of serving the needs of each student. Endeavor at all times, to be an equal opportunity instructor. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

AN ACTOR'S LIFE: June 2009
http://actorslife.stevebenbrown.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tidbits from the abyss; the trenches of L.A. entertainment. Sunday, June 21, 2009. On June 9th, the members of the Screen Actors Guild voted (70% in L.A., 78% Nationally), to approve and roll with the new contract proposed by the new contract negotiating committee. What is completely out of the contract, is any residual payments for Internet work and basically a number of Internet areas that now fall out of the current SAG contract and therefore, into the world of NON-Union. It is simply the MOST IMPORTANT. Issue to face the membership of the Writers, Screen Actors, Directors, and really, every major creative component of the entertainment industry! This strike is about accountability. IMAGINE IF I, OR ANY ENTERTAINMENT PROFESSIONAL SAID TO THE IRS:. Producers, WHAT A CROCK!

Tidbits from the abyss; the trenches of L.A. entertainment. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Good Luck to the NEW SAG TASK GROUP. I hope that this new task group will balance the needs of the body of SAG with the reality current climate. Clearly, internal fighting within SAG is not going to get any negotiations going and the body of members will NOT approve the current offer on the table from AMPTP. Good luck to the new task group and please work for the needs of the membership body. Sunday, January 4, 2009.

AN ACTOR'S LIFE: January 2004

Tidbits from the abyss; the trenches of L.A. entertainment. Saturday, January 31, 2004. The LA. way, maybe! This was indeed a long, long journey for in the back was everything we owned and there would be no turning back. As much as I love Phoenix (and I do), from the first time I explored Los Angeles, I knew that I was "HOME"; it just felt right. But to most visitors to this very large city, Los Angeles is the stereotype of too much! One last note, by luck of the draw more than anything else, we ended up...
