Birding In Michigan: October 2011
http://birdinginmichigan.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 14, 2011. So I finally found one of my "lifer" birds - the Eastern Bluebird. I took close to 30 photos chasing him. All terrible. The only half-way decent shot was this one - and you can see that he is snubbing me. That's okay - still exciting! Labels: eastern blue bird. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Craig's Birds: Killdeer at Sherburne NWR
http://craigsbirds.blogspot.com/2009/07/killdeer-at-sherburne-nwr.html
Tuesday, July 07, 2009. Killdeer at Sherburne NWR. We immediately backed off and the bird took a few steps to the right and sat down. I started to take some photographs only to realize that this bird was actually sitting on an egg. She had made her nest (for all practical purposes) right in the middle of the parking area! Anyway, we backed away to the car, which was only about 20 feet from the nest, and left the bird alone. Here are the shots that came out of that brief encounter with the Killdeer.

Friday, October 24, 2008. I was recently down in Stillwater walking along the river and snapped a few shots of the gulls. They were so close I decided to get a few head shots.
