The bivouac will be built in the area which is called Valpelline. The valley of Valpelline is located in the smallest and most northwestern region of the Italian Republic:. The Aosta Valley is neighbouring Switzerland in the north and France in the west. The area covers 3.263 km. Of land and has a population of approximately 120.000 inhabitants. The region has 2 official languages: Italian and French. Nevertheless, the majority of the local population speaks 'Arpitan', a Franco-Provencal dialect. The loc...

Arjen visits the Italian Val d'Aosta on a regular basis. Arjen secretly develops a plan to build a mini-refuge. Letters and e-mails are sent to the City of Sarre.
