A black girls guide to Buenos Aires. Fairy’s and Elves in the pale Moon light. Stealing the leprechaun gold at the end of the rainbow then using that gold to bribe Pirates for their ships. May 18, 2012. Six Months in Santiago, Chile. Since I was an undergraduate student, it was really easy for me to find an exchange program that would be place me in Santiago. All I did was a short Google search for exchange programs, and picked the program (USAC) that best suited my needs. Since I only wanted to go for a semester, this program was excellent, as it only lasted six months and ended in the summertime! My experience was tons of fun! I would definitely visit again! One thing that I'd wish I'd k...

July 18, 2012. How Not To Be An Obnoxious Tourist. I just read this very sad but true post by by Kate Sedgwick. Over at Traveler's Notebook titled: How To Avoid Being an Ugly American Tourist. Thanks for the link Lola. Tourist telltale sign #452: being a totally disconnected spectator." Photo:. Fair enough, there are obnoxious tourists from everywhere on earth, but the article states some darn good examples of ugly tourist behavior that are commonly associated with American travelers. BlackTravels.com Blog: The Joy of Paris.
http://blacktravels.blogspot.com/2007/06/joy-of-paris.html
April 18, 2012. The Joy of Paris. We found the street life as rich and fascinating as the national monuments and museums. We had never imagined that urban landscapes could be so beautiful! Paris is a city rich in historical and cultural sights, and ten days didn't give us anywhere near enough time to see all that we wanted to see. My most important tip for first-time visitors to Paris is to walk the streets! Photocourtesy of David at. A Muchness of Me. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 11 down 9 to go.

October 19, 2012. Montreal-The Paris of North America by Eden June. Our Travelocity last minute deal included airfare and four days stay in the swank Omni Hotel near Mont-Royal. The deal was amazing considering holiday travel usually more expensive than any other time of the year. Once we arrived in Montreal, we understood why the deal had been so cheap…it was freezing cold! February 18, 2012. SEE YOU IN PAMPLONA! Those were the last words I heard from some Italians I had befriended in Barcelona the day before I was heading down to Pamplona. The odds of that happening were literally 1 in 1.5 million people expected to be reveling during San Fermin. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Vegan...with Curves: June 2010
http://veganwithcurves.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 2, 2010. It was a hot day in the tent and foot locks were particularly challenging, but it was nice to have such a small class and be able to rotate between silks so often. Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Running away to join the circus. Yes, I got willingly kidnapped by some circus folks. And I'm completely unharmed, but not unaffected. Aerial arts have captured my imagination and I want to try a little of everything! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Studio Body Logic Pilates.
Vegan...with Curves: March 2010
http://veganwithcurves.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 9, 2010. I stepped in cheese. And then spent the afternoon hooping in the park. We smiled at dogs, visited a candy store and strolled around town commenting on gardens and architectural elements. *sigh* It was bliss. And then that damned piece of cheese ruined my day, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Seriously. The older I get, the more certain things (the smell of seafood, paper litter on a running trail, melted cheese on my shoe) activate my gag reflex. Outside all three of the girls wer...

Black Girls Rule!
Monday, June 6, 2011. I Ain’t Saying She’s A Gold Digger . . . The image of the black woman as a Gold Digger has evolved along a strange and peculiar path in the black community. The Gold Digger has only recently joined the Jezebel, the Mammy, the Mule, and Sapphire in the pantheon of stereotypes which are inflicted on black women; but the Gold Digger is unique in one way: her image is almost entirely the creation of black people. Riya Anandwala from Mumbai, India said. The concept of a woman marrying fo...
