I'm not sure where it was - I can't recall seeing a sign. RHD was determined to climb all over it. I had trouble convincing her that a bolt on a gate is there for a reason. I have been busy making stuff, going out, seeing exhibitions etc. August in Sydney is a wonderful time of year. Between 5 and 12 degrees Celcius. Hovering between 15 and 26 degrees. I visited a place on Sydney Harbour today called Watson's Bay. As you can see from the photos it was a lovely day. We went to Doyles Fish Cafe on Watson's Bay Wharf.

Sorry it has taken me so long to finish the Como blog entry. Here are some pictures I took. On the walking tour. The day before we left Europe until the next time. Please click on the photos to make them bigger. I had to make the smaller to fit so many in the post. We went on a walking tour around old Como. We had an excellent guide. His name is Volta.

Ventured out to see the Quilt and Craft fair at Darling Harbour in Sydney. It has been at Darling Harbour for 20 years. I remember going to the first one. My wonderful Mother-in-law babysat while I went in and had a look. I was explaining to our driver (who has never been in before),. There are streets and everything.

Yarn on a stick. A place to play with fibre, colour and other stuff. Thursday, 17 January 2013. Crafty Update - 16th January. This week has been eventful. I have been busy working out what crafts. I am going to be encouraging people to try this year, trying to read etc etc. But first I had to finish off what real estate agents would call. The 'Parents retreat' that used to be my workspace. This is what it used. Now it looks like this. The dog enjoying the new space. She really did not enjoy the process.

So, I have some catching up to do. I have some photos to show of the South Coast and places I visited. Not forgetting the places I went to yarny-wise. We had a lovely drive down. It is a beautiful part of NSW. We stopped in a small town for a coffee. It is called Braidwood. It is part of the old gold rush area.

I cannot believe it is almost the end of January! Here in Australia our school holidays have just finished. My whole round of activities start again. After a coolish Christmas day we have been having. Some really hot humid days in Sydney. I have done lots of pottering around, painted a bedroom,. Had house guests, looking after injured son.

This post will most certainly be the last for this month. I have been laid up for the last 3 weeks. I also have to wear this 'beautiful' boot. I have two weeks to go. I know this is a problem that is small compared to other peoples. But it is extremely annoying. It is better than having to have surgery, but it does 'cramp my style'. Taking me to doctors etc.
