Thursday, September 25, 2008. Fall means going back to school. . . even to toddlers. Nathan and I (and Joshie this year, too) attend the Lake Washington TC Toddler school once a week. We are in the class with our great friends and really enjoy the 2 hours of playing with new toys, exploring messy art, and singing (loudly) fun toddler songs! There's also bubbles and snack, which was Nathan's favorite part this week, he told me. We're off for our first day! Josh is usually strapped to my back. On the way h...

Wednesday, May 20, 2009. And the other one too. Nathan also celebrated a birthday on April 2nd. We had a great double party with Riley (who's parents we met in birth class and who was born the day after Nathan in the same hospital room at Overlake! At the Children's Museum in Seattle. The day was crazy, with so many friends in a tiny room, but the kids loved it! We also celebrated on Nathan's thursday night birthday with another dinner at Red Robin- go figure! Friday, May 23, 2008. May 23, 2008. April 23, 2008. Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Here is Nathan's first smile: I know the photo quality is terrible, but you gotta snap fast with these fickle buggers. Now, a few days ago, Nathan and I attempted the impossible: make an 8 week old smile. Nope, not doing it". Closer. . . ". Oh, seriously we just missed it. . . darn camera pause. Nathan wants to show that he can smile. "Nathan do smile". Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Mother's day with uncooperative munchkins. One exam...

The Mayers' Travels: July 2013

Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Family Celebration in CO. The bride's family is the only local one, and their relatives came from Chicago, London, and India, some having been in town a month or more already! Moving inside afterwards we had appetizers and a buffet lunch. As they dismissed 1 or 2 tables at a time there was plenty of time to wander outside and watch the storm or the hummigbirds that were all around the lodge. Finally speeches wrapped up the lunch before we moved upstairs for dancing. We love all ...

Al, Jenn & Baby Owen: The Minahans will be eating home more often...
http://theminahanfamily.blogspot.com/2010/05/taste-for-wine-already.html
Tuesday, May 25, 2010. The Minahans will be eating home more often. Last weekend marked the end of the Minahan. Dining out for a few months. In Owen's short 15 months he has been to many fine dining establishments and really has been a great sport.until now. As parents we unselfishly made a decision to halt our love for trying out new restaurants and visiting our staple favs. Posted by The Minahan Family. May 26, 2010 at 8:00 PM. Oh, the Places You'll Go!: June 2008
http://texasadventuregirl.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 18, 2008. I am 1.5 days away from school being over. I am so tired. There is this massive weariness when you end a school year. Questions surface like, have I failed him, is she ready for second grade, will his reading abilities sustain over the summer, will kids pick on her next year? Am I a teacher or am I just a person who teaches? As I look towards the wide open spaces of Texas I wonder who I will become. Scary! Someone put me to bed. Good grief! Sunday, June 15, 2008.
