1 Year Later: Fat foodie is lazy. | Bliss in a Bite
https://blissinabite.wordpress.com/2011/08/03/fat-foodie-is-lazy
Bliss in a Bite. ALWAYS in the mood for food! 1 Year Later: Fat foodie is lazy. It’s been officially a year since I last started Bliss in a Bite. Despite what I had hoped, I wasn’t able to share as much delicious food as I’ve encountered this past year. You throw it out. Just like food. It loses its appeal. My memory can no longer recall that euphoric feeling I had when I took a bite……. I do hope that when I do get back to taking pictures, I upload and share them. Forever a foodie,. August 3, 2011. You a...
Taking Off with Ya Kun Kaya Toast | Bliss in a Bite

Bliss in a Bite. ALWAYS in the mood for food! Taking Off with Ya Kun Kaya Toast. It would be hard to disagree with me when I say that Singapore is perhaps one of the best, if not. Best culinary destination for Southeast Asian cuisine. Inhibited by different races, people of different places, it’s literally the melting pot of Asian cultures. You could say the same for their cuisine, ultimately resulting in a very rewarding fusion of spices and flavors from all over Asia. Ya Kun Kaya Toast. Of Stieg Larsso...

Coconut Macarons | Baking Between Cities
https://bakingbetweencities.wordpress.com/2011/09/20/coconut-macarons
I’m not sure if I’m the only one but I think I’ve mentioned before that although macarons are pretty, I’m not a big fan of eating them. Sure I love the challenge of making them: getting creative with flavors, the right ‘lava’ like consistency, piping even sizes, and most of all, staring at the oven window. To see if feet form. ;) But when it comes to consuming it, I normally would just cut one in half just to taste it. Weird, no? Before, I used to buy. Adapted from Raspberri Cupcake. Fill your piping bag...

My very first fondant cake! | Baking Between Cities
https://bakingbetweencities.wordpress.com/2011/11/03/my-very-first-fondant-cake
My very first fondant cake! As a baker, one of the things in my to-do list was to try my hand at fondant. I was quite hesitant to do so since I was never good with clay/play-doh when I was younger and not to mention, I don’t like eating fondant. I’ve been seeing loads of really cute ruffle and gradient cakes that I wanted to make my own. I know the design is rather forgiving since it’s a bit rustic but I like rustic designs anyway so I decided to go for it! Forming the rose and ruffles…. November 3, 2011.

Calamansi Meringue Pie | Baking Between Cities
https://bakingbetweencities.wordpress.com/2011/09/16/calamansi-meringue-pie
A few days ago, I craved for some lime or lemon pie. Something sour and sweet at the same time. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any limes or lemons but what I did have were some. They’re these tiny limes abundant here in the Philippines and are about the size of a cherry tomato. Yes, I had to squeeze the juice out of these tiny little limes and by the end of it, my thumbs were frozen in the squeeze form. Okay, no not really but it definitely took much longer than squeezing out lime or lemon juices. In a bow...

https://bakingbetweencities.wordpress.com/2011/10/28/povitica-for-daring-bakers
Povitica for Daring Bakers! When I read that the next DB challenge was to make an Eastern European bread, I was excited! Not only was this another chance to make bread, it was also something new and something I never heard of. However, I’m late with posting this as I had a bunch of orders (started a lil baking biz ;]) throughout the month. Sorry for the excuse, but I finally made my Povitica and it was delicious! Croissants for Daring Bakers | Baking Between Cities
https://bakingbetweencities.wordpress.com/2011/09/27/croissants-for-daring-bakers
Croissants for Daring Bakers. The Daring Bakers go retro this month! Thanks to one of our very talented non-blogging members, Sarah, the Daring Bakers were challenged to make Croissants using a recipe from the Queen of French Cooking, none other than Julia Child! So I was quite excited as I’ve been wanting to conquer my fear of yeast. First try, with melted chocolate and crushed hazelnuts. But anyhow, despite the unsuccessful tries this hasn’t turned me off baking breads since I LOVE eating bread a...

There is no trust more sacred than the one the world holds with children.
