Build it and they will come? I think not | Stop Rail Central

http://www.norailinterchange.co.uk/build-it-and-they-will-come-i-think-not

What can I Do? Build it and they will come? The Government needs to realise, before it is too late and the whole of our county is covered over with warehouses, that freight being moved by rail is not determined by the volume of rail connected warehouses available but by economics, practicality and reliability. Transported to warehouse estates in Northamptonshire. Economically viable the shorter the train and filling trains in this particular. Market sector has proven difficult. Wagon load freight with it...

Will the railway be used? | Stop Rail Central

http://www.norailinterchange.co.uk/will-the-railway-be-used

What can I Do? Will the railway be used? There are many questions still to be answered regarding the ability of the rail network to accommodate an 8 million square foot rail freight interchange in South Northamptonshire. Only Network Rail can provide the definitive answer so perhaps the more pertinent question to ask is whether there is actually sufficient demand for the movement of freight via rail to justify the building of Rail Central? Freight Network Study 2016 Draft. Given that rail freight industr...

What can I Do? Just more of the same really. Parish Councillors and the public were invited to ask questions and these included: what effects will this have on the local road network? They didn’t know as they have not yet started the modelling); where will the staff come from in an area with such low unemployment? They didn’t know as they have not yet started the modelling); is there capacity on the rail network? Roxhill will be holding a public presentation in December at the Hilton in Collingtree.

Mission Statement | Stop Rail Central

http://www.norailinterchange.co.uk/mission-statement

What can I Do? An Extract from David Hewson’s 2007 Novel SAVED How an English village fought for its survival and won . For them this land was a place to possess, master and exploit. For us it was a precious legacy to cherish, nurture and hand on in turn. These superior men of London, distant lords of so much that seemed of little importance to us, knew better. All that mattered was their own brief span, nothing else, not for a moment. Welcome to the Stop Rail Central. Proposed RAIL FREIGHT INTERCHANGE.
