we go paris: day 4: 31 Mar 2009
http://wegoparis.blogspot.com/2009/04/day-4-31-mar-2009.html
Day 4: 31 Mar 2009. Day 4 started with some collation of information. Chanel in Paris or London? London is the new kid on the block for luxury goods due to the free fall of the pound. So I hooked up with the free hotel internet. And did some research. To be sure, I skyped. Never knew it was so easy) the London Chanel boutique and got the price. I was hoping that the price difference is not as so big. Then I won't mind buying it in Paris cause this is where it's at no? Google comes with skype. We just got...

Wednesday, October 18, 2006. So we decide to spend the day walking around, shopping. The day before, we came across this krazy Zara sale with blazers going at like SDG28 a pop. Thus our first stop is Zara and Massimo Dutti. But only the sale items are worth it. Jeans at Zara cost like SDG14 to 20. Krazy. We love Zara. But only on sale. They ripped me off while in Singapore with this dress. The ladies go crazy. Shaggy was disappointed that the DoggieStyle range was not on sale. The restaurant is in the pi...

Thursday, October 26, 2006. Who can go to Tuscany without going to Pisa and take a picture of ourselves supporting the leaning tower? So, here we go! Being a Sunday, Pisa is super quiet. All the shops are closed sans a few eatery. Very peaceful and quiet. This picture is taken by balancing the camera on a little box on the traffic light. Its a bright and glorious day indeed! While the town was almost deserted, the area around Camo dei Miracoli. Field of Miracle) was anything but. Shuyi was really feeling...

Normal people have to go to normal Tanjong. Bridal shops that stocks the normal (but still so nice and traditional) kuas. With the phoenix and dragons. We must go to the stuck up bridal shop in Orchard that serves tai. Hang crosses on the wall and stock up on bibbles. We don't do dragons and phoenix" they say. This ain't about you ain't it? This is what they got. In a funky metallic kinda way. I have nothing witty to say. They finally managed to source a normal kua. Look at the little mushu!

After all the hoo haa. Regarding what shuyi is gonna wear, at last, some attention to me please! Here is the suit. Grey wool 2 button, single breasted suit for me. Grey cause:. 1 white is boring and waiter-like. 2 black is too safe. 3 grey is retro looking (like shuyi's gown). Stop looking at my other stuff. Pretty pleased with the suit made by this old shifu. Who, according to the boss, also makes suits for Dr. Tony Tan. Now to get a white wing tip tuxedo shirt. Without the cummerbund please.

http://shuyisaidyes.blogspot.com/2007/08/solemnization.html
We kinda decided on separating the solemnization and the banquet as we die die must get the solemnization done by around January. It seems too short to plan for the wedding as I spend most of the time living in VivoCity. Ok. solemnization then. We emailed CJC and 2 days later came the green light. All system go! 8th Aug morning we went to CJC to check out the venue. Things have certainly changed much since 10 years ago. The same old wannabe ang moh chiggas still populate the school. I think s...Small coz...

E-mail invites to our solemnization. Respecting my father's view for a wedding invitation to be ' reddish. We picked this one. For the record, Shuyi (the supreme overlord of the universe), chose this card. Red is the new black. Inside is white with gold stamping: super fly. Supreme overlord is please with this 'po chai wan' stamp. My stack of invites to friends. that means you! I still like our solemnisation card. Too bad we didnt get to use it. we go paris: day 1: 28 Mar 2009
http://wegoparis.blogspot.com/2009/04/day-1.html
Day 1: 28 Mar 2009. The plan is for me to go 2 day in advance to cover some grounds (might as well since going early don't cost extra) since shuyi. Already did Paris like 2-3 times already. I put on my favorite polo tee for the occasion. And my cashmere Massimo Dutti. Sweater is suppose to be keep you warm (i hope). Due to the last minute nature of the trip, I did not plan for anything at all. All I did was grab the slimmest guide book from the library and here I am, Paris. Millionaire, Suspect X ( jap.

http://shuyisaidyes.blogspot.com/2008/03/heels.html
We needed footwear to make up for the 20cm of height difference between me and Shuyi? We set out to look for heel(s) for shuyi on our various shopping trips. Shuyi wants it high. Real high. But I think a 3 inch is good. 4 being the max. This one we spotted in Taka, from 9west. The colour and sheen is fantastic! We spotted 2 Beveley Feldman in Hue as well. Both of em lacy white heels. But Shuyi is holding out for better shoes and sales. Additional bullshit that you pay for. I shall wear it for my wedding.

http://shuyisaidyes.blogspot.com/2007/08/evening-gown.html
Another thing we started looking out for is the evening gown (EG as them singaporebrides put it. truly irritating). 歌台 style evening gowns that go for the dramatic va-va-voom. Effect is out. Granted some of the brides actually look good in those evening dresses, Shuyi cannot really pull off that one. To the internet we go! An option for an evening gown will be the cheongsum. Simple, elegant, and stunning they say. We agree. Something like what Maggie Cheung wore in 'In the Mood for Love'. Most of the peo...
