The topic of this blog is a design for a "fromagerie" - a cheese finishing, aging and production building in Franche-Comté region in France. This is a documentation of my work on the topic of mass. My proposal focuses on expressing hollow, usable space as solid mass. (Studio Lynn, University of Applied Arts, Vienna). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Gone off on a Tangent. Heavy and Hollow: geometry
http://heavyhollow.blogspot.com/2010/01/geometry-diagram.html
The topic of this blog is a design for a "fromagerie" - a cheese finishing, aging and production building in Franche-Comté region in France. This is a documentation of my work on the topic of mass. My proposal focuses on expressing hollow, usable space as solid mass. (Studio Lynn, University of Applied Arts, Vienna). I used the technique of substraction to manipulate my mass. The primitive was an ellipsoid which was then carved by a series of other ellipsoids to create the relationship of mass to void.
