My world of knitting. Happy 2009 to you all, let’s hope it’s a good one for Health, Wealth and Peace. Just a quick round up to show my holiday progress of what I have been knitting, not much to show but for my slow standards good progress has been made on Holidazed. Sock one has now been completed. Here is the close up of the stitch pattern. I also yesterday cast on for another pair of socks with STR, I noticed a Kal in the Socks That Rawk group on Ravelry. Yarn: Socks That Rock Lightweight. The Solstice Slip | Sockgalaxy's Blog
https://sockgalaxy.wordpress.com/2008/12/15/the-solstice-slip
My world of knitting. This pattern and yarn was the third kit of the 2007 Rockin’ Sock Club and is one my favourites, The pattern had the option of either toe-up or cuff down, I chose the toe-up so to get the most out of the full skein of yarn. The Solstice Slip by J C Briar. Yarn Blue Moon Fibers Lightweight. These turned out a little large and bulky to wear with ordinary boots, so I tend to use these as house socks and are lovely warm and bright for those chillier days. Feed You can leave a response.

I'd Rather be Knitting: December 2007
http://jo028.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
I'd Rather be Knitting. A Journal of My Knitterly Life. Wednesday, 5 December 2007. Well, not quite chocolate but the same colour as the wrapper! I got this far before realising the pattern is wrong:. The stated number of stitches don't equate to the finished measurement they put on the pattern. It was coming out far too big, so I ripped the body back to the ribs and re-knitted the smaller size. (I couldn't face re-doing the ribs too). My new knit is Twist. Wednesday, December 05, 2007. I'd Rather be Knitting: Diary of a Rogue Hoodie
http://jo028.blogspot.com/2007/10/rogue-hoodie.html
I'd Rather be Knitting. A Journal of My Knitterly Life. Saturday, 20 October 2007. Diary of a Rogue Hoodie. I've been dying to own one of these since I first saw the pattern. Definitely out of my league knitwise, but I still want one and I'm not going to let a load of wool beat me! I got the yarn ages ago from Wolle Hartmuth, it's Austermann Revue a pure merino aran weight and machine washable too. It's a turquoisey/teal kind of shade. What she fails to tell you is how the hell you do this. Why write...

Skein Queen: Plum Gold spinning
http://skeinqueen.blogspot.com/2009/07/plum-gold-spinning.html
Tuesday, 7 July 2009. I finished spinning this plum and gold merino/silk bought from Jeni at Fyberspates at Rav Day and lovely it was to spin too. Another sample to add to my handspun Zig and Zag blanket which is coming along slowly. I am so itching to try spinning, or even knitting with handspun. Lve the delicate colour blending in these - my favorite colours too! 7 July 2009 at 16:54. 7 July 2009 at 19:07. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Come and say hi. Skein Queen on Twitter. Skein Queen: The end of one era....
http://skeinqueen.blogspot.com/2009/07/end-of-one-era.html
Saturday, 11 July 2009. The end of one era. That's it - yesterday I cleared out my desk, said goodbye to my colleagues and am no longer an Editor after 17 years in the job. The Reading office doesn't officially move to Andover until the end of the month, but they were good enough to let me go a little bit earlier than that - course, there's still all the goodbye parties, but that's the last time I'll be in the office. Here's a few of my colleagues who I'd like to pay tribute to:. He used to work on Le Mo...

http://catknit-knits.blogspot.com/2007/06/you-know-when-you-put-off-doing.html
Monday, June 11, 2007. You know when you put off doing something for ages and then just never quite get back to it? Well ain't that just the way with blogging, I've had a horribly stressful couple of months, details of which I won't go into here because this is supposed to be fun. So the blog has been neglected yet again and when I come back to it, I can't think what to put first! Should I start with the oldest F.O's or the most recent and work back? Lovely to hear from you, and lovely pics! Someone did ...

Skein Queen: April 2009
http://skeinqueen.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 April 2009. A bit of spinning, Socktopus trunk show and a Rainy Day Coraline. I'm quite proud of this. It's the first bit of spinning I've done with my wheel fixed and working properly and I finally feel comfortable with spinning and really enjoying it, so much so, I've signed up for a course with the local guild to learn more. The fibre was from limegreenjelly. 100% merino - and it's called Just a Dream. I love the depth of colour. Summer's coming - there are clear signs. Using Bamboo Soft ...
