God of the Machine

Culling my readers to a manageable elite since 2002. I was on blogging leave last week. Not my usual no-writing-today-so-****-right-off-and-read-someone-who-cares leave — actual medical leave. No ethics to date has managed to improve on moral intuition, or explain it either. What fun is a game with no rules? Humans have suffered three thousand years of philosophy now, and it’s time we took stock. Berkeley and his innumer...

March 16, 2008. Why the US Should not have an Arms Race with China. In fact, America remains a military colossus. The Bush administration has proposed spending $515 billion next year on the military; more, adjusted for inflation, than at any time since World War II. The U.S. accounts for roughly half of the world's military outlays. That potential makes the PRC the best excuse for Washington to spend ever more on the U.S. military. Posted by ylanl at 09:52 AM. Dina Bitmap Font for OSX. August 29, 2011 – 7:16 pm. I used FontForge to create a version of the Dina programming font optimized for OSX. Download DinaMedium.dfont.zip. It seems to work great in Emacs.app, MacVim, and XCode. I am using emacs24 compiled with these instructions. I added these lines to /.emacs:. Befor...
