CubLogger: May 2005
http://cublogger.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Web Log of a lifetime Chicago Sports Fan minus the Sox and Hawks. Sorry. But I love the Cubs and all things cub related and like to think I have a way with the written word. Okay, that sounded cheesy. I'll stop now. Monday, May 30, 2005. Greetings Cub Fans. After a weekend of Boating, Drinking and Sunburn, I return to find the cubs at the .500 mark and much more importantly, a hot Aramis Ramirez. So is this latest offensive "splurge" a sign of things to come, or just an abbiration? Thursday, May 26, 2005.

They have got to do something to upgrade there if they seriously think they're going to contend for the Wild Card. Why hasn't the Kearns deal happened yet? Monday, July 25, 2005.

Okay, that sounded cheesy. I'll stop now. Sunday, June 26, 2005. So, my next plan is to have all of us in the CBA write dusty a letter a day. "Fan Mail" if you will, with only one sentance. Hey Dusty, I can strike out 4 times every game, I think I'm ready to bat leadoff". I jsut saw them interviewing Sarge Matthews about Patterson an...

Dr StrangeCub (or how I learned to accept reality): Stinging defeats
http://drstrangecub.blogspot.com/2005/05/stinging-defeats.html
Sunday, May 15, 2005. Last Night the Iowa Cubs lost to the Salt Lake Stingers 6-2, the Cubs lost to the Nats 3-4, and today the Cubs lost to the Nats 4-5. A sad 24 hours in Cubs baseball has passed and hopefully it will not continue as it has. The AAA game last night was a terrible affair on the mound and at the plate. The newly acquired Daren Oliver sporting a 34 ERA at the beginning of the game. He gave up 6 runs off of nine hits including a three run homer and a run scoring double. Greg Maddux was the...

Dr StrangeCub (or how I learned to accept reality): I'm back and confused as ever!?
http://drstrangecub.blogspot.com/2005/09/im-back-and-confused-as-ever.html
Saturday, September 10, 2005. I'm back and confused as ever! I'm back stalwart reader of my blog. I really mean reader. I am back in school and I decided to pick up the pen. Keyboard. The topics of this blog will now change from the downright infuriating Cubs to the Bears and the Utes(I go the University of Utah and have front row seats expect kick butt pictures football fans.). Johnson has Vickesque speed and ability with his legs and he is just a waste if he cements himself in the backfield like Chad H...

Dr StrangeCub (or how I learned to accept reality): Out of hibernation
http://drstrangecub.blogspot.com/2005/05/out-of-hibernation.html
Tuesday, May 10, 2005. The Cubs' bats woke up from hibernation tonight, beating the Mets senseless 7-0. The pitching of Greg Maddux kept the pressure off the offense and really allowed them to rake today with 4 homers. Dusty pulled him at the right time and M Dub came out to clean up the mess. I think tonight's game was a perfect opportunity to have 1R pitch in a situation that wasn't pressure packed and he couldn't screw up. Having a good solid outing in an easy situation would be good for 1R and wo...

White Flag Over Waveland: August 2005
http://whiteflagoverwaveland.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
White Flag Over Waveland. Nothing beats a trade rumor and I am here to start them. Wednesday, August 10, 2005. What do the Cubs need to look for next year? In my belief they need three things 1) Outfield help 2) Shortstop 3) bench help. Some may argue that the Cubs need pen help, which is true, but I don't see the pen now as bad just young and mismanaged. Anyway the best way to throw away money is to invest in bullpen arms. So how do I fix these problems here is my take. Posted by JamesD @ 3:41 PM. I am ...

Dr StrangeCub (or how I learned to accept reality): Ding dong the witch is dead
http://drstrangecub.blogspot.com/2005/05/ding-dong-witch-is-dead.html
Monday, May 30, 2005. Ding dong the witch is dead. Sorry about the delay folks but I have a job now. and it has me working 10 hour days. Anywho I have had little time for the Cubs recently but I have tried to keep up. As I see it we are just where we should be right now at .500. The Cubs have been beating the ball like a redheaded step child scoring over 5 runs in 3 consecutive games! I wish him luck in San Fran and I'm sure he will do much better there.). I am not extremely enthusiastic about the player...
