Secret Cottage Garden: LA Arboretum: Trees
http://secretcottagegarden.blogspot.com/2009/11/la-arboretum-trees.html
Dedicated to the garden spirits that live here. Friday, November 20, 2009. I love the strength and stature of a tree. They are the old and wise beings of the plant world. As they grow older their beauty shines in a new way. Some of the Arboretum trees had this sort of beauty. Pink or Silk Floss Tree. This tree's leaves are beginning to turn in autumn's coolness. This tree is unusual, as it has no living relatives, all others being extinct. It's extinct relatives can still be found as fossils....The silve...

Style de Bohême: Recycled Dresser Mirror
http://styledeboheme.blogspot.com/2010/10/recycled-dresser-mirror.html
GROWN-UP GIRLS LIKE TO PLAY TOO! WELCOME TO MY PLAYGROUND. Thursday, October 7, 2010. Work is underway in my guest/sewing room. I am finally reclaiming my lost space that had devolved into a storage heap! While doing some rearranging, I moved a dresser that formerly occupied that room to the living room. Since it was placed under a window, I couldn't use the mirror that had been on top. To start, I measured and cut the board to about eight inches longer than the length of the bottom edge of the mirror.

RAMBLINGS FROM A DESERT GARDEN....: Flowering All Year Long...
http://www.azplantlady.com/2010/03/flowering-all-year-long.html
Flowering All Year Long. I love color in the garden. My garden is full of flowering shrubs and perennials. I am blessed to live in an area where it is possible to have flowers in my garden 12 months of the year. My favorite way to accomplish this is to include plants that flower most, if not all year long. Today, I would like to share with you some of my favorites. Angelita Daisy (Tetraneuris acaulis). Flowers year-long with heaviest bloom occurring in spring and fall. Blue Bells' (Eremophila hygrophana).

Now I want to show you an amazing garden I visited when I was in Kingston. Divided by a very low stone wall,. One side of the rock garden has granite boulders with the other side limestone. Can you tell Pulsatilla vulgaris is my new favourite plant? Here she can have both acidic or alkaline growing plants almost side by side.

Garden Visits: Folmer’s Botanical Gardens. August 21, 2013 · Filed under bulbs. I have wanted to visit Folmer’s Botanical Gardens. In Walkerton for years, but it never worked out. This garden was featured in Canadian Garden. A few years ago and I became even more determined to get there. However this spring, I finally succeeded. And I wish I had made more of an effort because I loved it. I got so inspired, I feel like I need to buy thousands of Anamone blanda bulbs this fall. I need gates,. And a gazebo,.

Greenish Thumb: My father's house: pond, vegetable garden, ducks, geese, etc.
http://www.greenishthumb.net/2009/09/my-fathers-house-pond-vegetable-garden.html
Sharing the thrill of the dig, the joy of the harvest, decadent eats, and profoundish musings along the way. Sunday, September 13, 2009. My father's house: pond, vegetable garden, ducks, geese, etc. As you can see below, there is no pushing or shoving. The geese file in in an orderly line while my father stands at the gate. I find this totally hilarious. Here are some of his white geese. Here below, are the ducklings, almost at full size. These ducklings were hatched last month. Click here. A closer view...
