Well I honestly can't believe it's that time of year again. doesn't seem like two minutes since I was saying this last year! 2013 has been a wonderful year, both in my work and personal life. it started off unbelievably hard with the heartache of thinking we were going to lose our much loved pooch, but he came back fighting and now looking at him you would never believe what he went through, thank goodness! This year I also swam with sharks (without a cage! Books, books books!

Why I’m not using Fastmail. Prepare for a somewhat ranty post, but it doesn’t come from a bad place. I honestly want Fastmail to succeed. I’m eager to see more alternatives for email hosting, and clients (and there are scaringly few). I also acknowledge that some of the problems I bumped into are quite specific to my own setup, which isn’t common. So in some ways, it’s not about you, Fastmail. It’s me. Make your own judgement. A scalable Analytics backend with Google BigQuery, AWS Lambda and Kinesis.

My trade show experience at Pulse 2015. Back in May I exhibited at Pulse. At Olympia London, for the first time. I was in the Launchpad section and I had a big 3×2 meter booth to play with! It was only my second ever trade show, I had exhibited at Top Drawer. It worked out pretty well but I was excited to have a much bigger space to play around with for Pulse!
