Natural, undyed. The breed would be Norfolk Horn. A rare breed, originating from the beautiful rural county, known to be flighty. The wool isn't known for being soft and fine. Or "Haven't you finished that yet? A knitting / sewing circle. I enjoyed every minute of making this jumper, and it's one of my favourite handspun / hand knit projects ever. It's the most ambitious colourwork I've tackled so far (3 colours to some rows). A friend suggested that I try 'pick and throw', one colour in each hand. Monday, 20 July 2015. Five a day vegetable seeds. Yesterday, I sowed some vegetable seeds for the first time since 2007! The topsoil has been shovelled into the new raised beds, a joint effort by MTM and myself though I have to say, he did do more than I. I gave it a week to settle down. Saturday, 30 May 2015. I got the compost wet again by soaking it in a bucket, gave it a feed and then repotted it into a larger pot, cleaned up the leaves and this is how it repaid me! My dad used to grow them when I was a child, we used to call them Christmas Cactuses because that's when they used to flower. Wednesday, 18 January 2012. WIP dangerously close to completion. After all that work to make a horizontal cabled border panel, I undid it. It didn't hang right and it was too heavy for the poncho. So I simply knitted 6 rows of garter stitch and I'm now adding the tassels. I even cut through the border to try to get it to hang right, and it must have taken 10 or more tries to get the front point right. Oh well, it was all good experience.
