Warp, weave, be happy! Part 2: Sample, Sample, Sample. Posted by Jennifer Williams a.k.a. inkledpink. Asymp; 6 Comments. Two skeins of lusciously beautiful 100% Egyptian cotton yarn are en route to me as I type this. I wait; not so patiently… The skeins, balls really, do not have a lot of yardage in them, so I know I am going to want to sample the yarn before I attempt a band with it. The last time I sampled a warp. This time, I tied the warp on in groups instead of individually. The skein is really soft...

Life with kids and dogs, learning new crafts, and parents who are adjusting to role reversal. Kids, Dogs, and Crafts…Oh, My! August 25, 2016. Now that I’ve brought the impending holidays to my own attention, suddenly the impetus to do and to make things is much greater. Thursday, 9 June 2011. Tapestry update and a few side projects. This is what my tapestry looks like at 85 hours! I know it seems to be progressing at a snail's pace. I've been finding it difficult to designate even 1 or 2 hours a day with my 2 year old operating at full throttle, especially since summer has hit. We are undertaking fencing and landscaping our yard. I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since we moved in! Take a look at all the yarn and crochet thread! Three big cheers for a fabulous hu...

I keep thinking things will slow down so I will have more time, but it is becoming clear that this level of busy is the new standard. It probably won't slow down so I just need to embrace it and get up a little earlier than early. ;p. Just as soon as they upload. I have my fingers crossed that they will be posted by tomorrow morning. Fit For A Cat.

Hearts on Fibre: December 2012
http://heartsonfibre.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Friday, 7 December 2012. So much has happened since I last made a post! I'll try to keep a long story short. In April my husband found out he got a wonderful new job working as computer tech for a school division, which required us to move out of the city, and we found an affordable acreage near the town of Bruno! Now we are actually here, and it feels SO good! Between hubby and the two boys I'm already having visions of the piles of ginormous, smelly, size 14 shoes inhabiting my porch! I took these deta...

Saturday, 17 March 2012. I finally finished this! I often find pick-up and overshot patterns too tedious and still love the act of plain-jane tabby the best.but IT'S SO PRETTY. If anyone is curious about my technique for hand painting my cotton for inkles, just buzz me a note and I will set up a little picture tutorial! I've been busy prepping for a weekend workshop on basic inkle weaving. It's going to be so much fun! I love teaching, and sharing in creativity with other people! Saturday, March 17, 2012.

Wednesday, 9 November 2011. DIY Cardboard Box Inkle Loom Tutorial. I have been so inspired by the tutorials I have found on other weaver's blogs, most especially Laverne over at BackstrapWeaving. Friday, 29 March 2013. If you know me you know that I am constantly wishing I had more arms. Like an octopus. Or like two octopuses stuck together. But not in the Discovery channel way. Annnnd now that I've ooged you out. Fall is one of my two top productive time periods because I enjoy giving hand made gifts at Christmas. This past fall was especially productive because we were living in a temporary home without any internet. So I went crochet crazy! This one was a treat for myself and I wear it often.
