Monday, February 16, 2009. Road Blog, Day 3: Portland. Should have paid for the hotel parking. Waking up at 7:30 in the morning to pump a parking meter is not my idea of vacation. I am especially thankful for the Stumptown coffee in the building, which was good incentive to get out of bed (though the threat of parking tickets should have been plenty). Monday, February 16, 2009. Road Blog, Day 4: Portland - Seattle. The one nice thing about having to feed parking meters each morning is that it gets you up and going and ensures a full day of exploring. One last capp at Stumptown (and the most intense almond-chocolate croissant ever) and on the road again. The major attraction in Olympia was Espresso Parts. Which shares a building with Olympia Coffee Roasting Co. and their cafe. They pulled shots from a machine that was used in the 200? Or so I thought.

While further exploring the city center, I discovered a yelp anomoly: A restaurant with a single "$" of price, and four and a half stars from user reviews. Yummy Teriyaki is exactly what the name promises, no-frills, perfectly cooked teriyaki. Yum. Yay for local hole-in-the-wall chains. Latest night so far! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
