Getting Outside of Normal: Nearing the End
http://thefykes.blogspot.com/2011/09/nearing-end.html
Saturday, September 10, 2011. You can tell because our photos are starting to wane a bit. I'm shocked to say it didn't go down like that at all. We splurged on the family room of only 2 beds (paid an extra 40 Euros) and I'd pay that two or three times again for how smoothly everything went. We had enough room on the floor that Ehren got his own pallet and slept until we woke him up at 8:30 even with light shining right in his face. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Getting Outside of Normal: September 2011
http://thefykes.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 20, 2011. I was close to crossing this off my list of things to do. After going I can't believe I almost missed it. Having seen many of the greatest cathedrals in the world, seeing Gaudi's interpretation and vision of a cathedral is amazing. He takes the plan and grandiose volume typical of a cathedral and makes it organic and a bit funky in his quirky art nouveau style. Wednesday, September 14, 2011. By a Few Threads. We just barely made it. I guess we have to come home. So last night...

Getting Outside of Normal: Not for 2.50 Extra
http://thefykes.blogspot.com/2011/09/not-for-250-extra.html
Sunday, September 11, 2011. Not for 2.50 Extra. Now the temperature here in Barcelona is a high of 82 and a low of 70 degrees. Sounds nice, right? Do NOT be fooled. The moderate sounding forecast also tricked me into booking an apartment with no AC for us and let me save you that painful experience. Get a room with AC. I can take a hint with the best of them so we are sweating it out at night in lieu of a pepperspray incident. Why couldn't it be 25/person? September 11, 2011 at 11:13 PM. By a Few Threads.

Getting Outside of Normal: March 2011
http://thefykes.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 13, 2011. It was rainy outside and Ehren seemed to lament not being able to go outside. Seriously. He looked like he gained an inch overnight. It could've just been the way he was sitting, but his outfit was tight that fit just a few days before. Crazy (and awesome). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Nashville, TN, United States. We used to be a young married couple but now we are married with 2 kids. We currently live in Nashville, TN and this is the document of our journey.

Getting Outside of Normal: June 2011
http://thefykes.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 19, 2011. Ehren's Dad and My Dad. Today is a day to grill out, relax and be thankful for the dads in your life. Ehren and I are both lucky to have dads that share a lot of great traits. He works tirelessly for his family. He leaves work at work (something I wish I could do better). His words are well chosen and so few that when spoken they are respected by his peers. Service to others is his first instinct. He isn't too much of "a man" to cook or clean or whatever needs to be done. We also h...

Getting Outside of Normal: February 2011
http://thefykes.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 17, 2011. You know what I love most about my job? All the amazing people I get to meet. One of my past clients gifted us with the best thing ever after we returned from Taiwan - family photos. Since our wedding we have never had more than a snapshot so this was such a treat. You can check out her website here. And she has a great blog. Too (I'm actually going to write articles for it every once in a while). But anyway without further ado.the things you came for. You can take some comfo...

Thursday, April 28, 2011. And so it is that I read this prayer this morning:. Lord, we pray we never find ourselves without hope, without a glimpse of the empty tomb each time we happen upon a cross. Help us begin our daily journey expecting both crosses and empty tombs and rejoicing when we encounter either because we know you are with us.". So since I've been absent since.December.I give you some of those empty tombs throughout the past six months:. The first of many snow days. View my complete profile.

rebecca.mcneil.smith: in memoriam
http://rebeccamcneilsmith.blogspot.com/2010/07/in-memoriam.html
Friday, July 30, 2010. My grandmother, Jane Weaver Nall, passed away two days ago. It is with a great hope that I believe she is at rest and has seen the promised land. Childhood slumber parties with Nannie and Dappie were always filled with certain expectations. King's Corner. Would be played, Lawrence Welk. Would be watched, ice cream. I am thankful that she slapped too much butter on bread and that she scrambled eggs to perfection. I'm thankful that she taught us Southern hospitality. As if she had li...
