Wednesday, 22 July 2015. Encaustic and shellac burn. Time for a little experimenting and playing with my blowtorch. I started off with 10 layers of wax. Some dripping and splatters. A bit of scrapping. And then a lot of melting! The blowtorch can change a whole painting in just a few seconds. I found some iridescent paint and add it to the middle of the canvas. The collection includes a luscious assortment of Lucite flowers and chain,. Round and tear drop beads, three dimensional flowers, filigree components,. Sliders, a unique metal flower maker, retro flower components and polyester pipe. Using some dazzle-it gold aluminum wire. I created this fun necklace. And i love the retro color palette.

Monday, 27 April 2015. First with color, blue and yellow are always a soothing combo for me. The red came when I realize I needed a "punch". Second with texture, using a plastic mesh from a wine bottle , drips and slotted brush. Sunday, 19 April 2015. Wire and pearl necklace.
