Community Food Forests
http://oregonfarmacademy.org/services/foodforest/community%20food%20forests.html
It is our goal to take bare land and turn it into food growing space. We want to work with private land owners of small lots around town, as well as public lands, to create community food forests where people can develop a sense of community and ownership over their food supply. This space is really fun for us, since it is across the street from our house. The land owner has allowed the space to be used for a large garden. We hope to continue to work with him to turn it into a food forest!
