One Painter's Perspective: Blue Solitude
http://kimshields.blogspot.com/2010/05/blue-solitude.html
Paintings by Kim Shields. Saturday, May 29, 2010. 12x12 oil on cotton canvas panel. 180 (email me if interested). Today I hung my first show ever! I have thirteen of my Texas landscapes at the Bulverde/Spring Branch Library. They will be there the month of June. It feels good. I kind of liked the way they looked hanging together. There seemed to be a cohesiveness in the collection. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator. June 4, 2010 at 5:15 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Artist Statement | Kim Shields Studio
https://kimshields.wordpress.com/artist-statement
Still Life and Landscape Paintings in Oil. Every painting starts with a shadow, a color and a shape. Every where I go, I see potential paintings. Nature is a challenge for any artist, the atmosphere and colors are always changing. As I look at the way the shadows dance across the road or the way a group of trees form a shape, in my mind I begin planning my next painting. Georgia O’Keeffe said”. I can only hope viewing my paintings can bring you as much pleasure as it does me painting them. If you would l...

One Painter's Perspective: a new beginning
http://kimshields.blogspot.com/2011/05/new-beginning.html
Paintings by Kim Shields. Thursday, May 19, 2011. I have moved my blog to: http:/ kimshields.wordpress.com/. At the bottom of the post under the Resources heading. I listed that the sofas were from Plush Sofas (an Australian chain store). Our living room is really tiny (it looks bigger in the photos! So they are compact little two seaters. We got them as floor stock so they were a great price. May 5, 2012 at 11:49 AM. This is an outstanding post Thanks for such a worthy post. May 21, 2016 at 5:46 PM.

The next best thing to painting plein aire is coming home and being able to paint from your photos. It takes me back to being at that location and what a good time I had with my Mom and daughter. This is lovely Kim, nice sentiments, too. October 22, 2009 at 11:35 PM. What a wonderful painting, Kim! October 28, 2009 at 3:16 PM. November 3, 2009 at 11:41 AM. November 23, 2009 at 4:51 PM.
