Pursuing datameaningfulness, online and off. Archived Posts from this Category. August 27, 2012. Posted by Rachel under article. Apparently, it’s time for my semi-annual blog update! I’ve been focusing a bit more on work-work this year, and dialing it back on some of the writing and speaking. Not entirely, just gathering up my thoughts so that I can continue working on things that are interesting and relevant. I’ve continued to post Scatter/Gather. 8211; content strategy meets linguistics. Content Strate...

Conference Enthusiast | Meaningful Data

https://blog.rachellovinger.com/2009/04/29/conference-enthusiast

Pursuing datameaningfulness, online and off. April 29, 2009. Posted by Rachel under conference. I’ve been accused, by a couple people, of becoming a “professaional conference-goer.” I should point out that the people who say this are people that I met at conferences, and I generally only see them when I’m at a conference, so perhaps they have a slightly skewed view of how I spend my time. Here are some the conferences and film festivals that I’ve been to so far in 2009:. April 29, 2009 at 5:42 pm. It&#82...

Pursuing datameaningfulness, online and off. November 15, 2009. Conference Enthusiast 2010, pt. 1. Posted by Rachel under conference. Last April I listed out. A bunch of conferences and film festivals that I had attended or hoped to attend, and in some cases I was also a speaker. With the end of 2009 in sight my calendar for next year is already starting to get filled in, so it seemed like a good time for an update on some of the events that have caught my eye for the first half 2010. Fill in your detail...

New Word of the Day: Metaphrast | Meaningful Data

https://blog.rachellovinger.com/2008/08/01/new-word-of-the-day-metaphrast

Pursuing datameaningfulness, online and off. August 1, 2008. New Word of the Day: Metaphrast. Posted by Rachel under content strategy. In a meeting today with my fellow Content Strategists, I was talking about the phenomenon where content is adapted from one format to another – for example, a TV show that’s made into a movie. My colleague Bob Maynard. One who renders a text into a different form, as by recasting prose in verse.*. One Response to “New Word of the Day: Metaphrast”. August 1, 2008 at 2:04 pm.

Product UX Content Strategy. Why You Should Go to Confab. March 11, 2015. Welcome to Confab Central: the content strategy conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. © Sean Tubridy/Brain Traffic. But now it’s 2015. I’ll be giving the opening keynote. So let me be clear about this: when it comes to Confab, I. Rather, I’m biased bec...

T Minus 7 Days. January 9th, 2018. It’s the end of my first day trying out timed nutrition. Man, this is going to be tough. I am going to have to quit my job so that I can meal plan, grocery shop, meal prep, eat (a lot and often), and work out. This literally takes all day. And, the meal plan makes a life long dieter freak out a little… They want you to eat about 300-500 more calories a day than you normally would on a weight loss plan. Some changes will need to be made, that’s for sure. January 8th, 2018.
