This was a little piece of advice my sister gave me nearly six years ago and I think about it often. There's so much truth to it and I've witnessed it first hand with my two girls. A double batch of Mom’s Banana Bread. 2 loaves fresh from the oven. 2 medium sized, ripe bananas, mashed. 1/2 cup butter or margarine. 1 cup white sugar. 1/4 tsp. salt. 1 tsp baking soda. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts ( optional. Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream together butter, sugar, eggs and mashed bananas. Mix dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Stir in walnuts, if using.
